Weekend Action-
Its Friday again and time to give a summary of the GAA activities in Leitrim.
[b]Underage[/b]
After the recent postponements there is only one game outstanding and that is Melvin Gaels v Sean O Heslins in Division 1, over the last week Coiste na nÓg have got all other outstanding games played,
This evening the U16s play their last rounds under the various categories and this should determine in most divisions who will be in finals or play offs.
The tables and full results will be updated on this website over the weekend.
[b]TG4 Connacht Championship:[/b]
Leitrim take on Roscommon in a first round game in pool B of the Ladies Connacht Junior Championship on Saturday. The game is scheduled as a home game for Leitrim and will be in Cloone at 4pm.
Having been defeated in four of the last five finals, new Manager Jason Tanaine will be hoping to change the fortunes of the team in this years championship. There are a number of new faces 2006 which has added a freshness to the panel and competition for starting places has never been keener. Best of luck to all concerned.
[b]Clubs – ACL [/b]
ACL-3 have all of their games scheduled for tomorow evening at 6:15pm.
ACL-5 teams are scheduled for Sunday afternoon at 2:30pm.
There are 5 games each due to be played in both Leagues.
[b]Senior County Football[/b]
The Senior football team play in the last round in the Allianz Football league in Limerick. This game does not effect our promotion chances as we are now out of the running. However it is an important game as we now get ready to prepare for the Championship game against Mayo in June.
The venue is P?irc na nGael in Limerick and throw-in is scheduled for 3:30pm.
