Radio Advertising Campaign
Earlier today Leitrim GAAs first ever radio advert went to air as part of the final stage of the Get on the Team campaign. The advert is part of a marketing campaign to ensure full awareness of this very necessary stage of our fund raising campaign. The Stand project has cost €3 million and with a fantastic €2.5 million raised we are down to the last €500,000. We feel that this is very achievable as to date Leitrim supporters have donated in excess of €800,000 either as a direct donation or through the tax incentive Get on the Team campaign. The remaining funding has been obtained in the form of Grants from the Department of Sport, Croke Park and the Connacht Council.
It is worth noting that our fund raising campaign only began as recently as October of last year. The County Board are very appreciative of all of the donations received and as we are very close to our final figure we are making the final push to have the final amount raised by December. Clubs are providing great assistance in this final push as the County Board Finance team are working closely with designated Club coordinators to achieve the target.
We have very large plans for the development of the Centre of Excellence at Annaduff but we will not do so until we have cleared the existing debt on the New Stand.
The ingenunity of the Stands design, its functionality and the quality of the finish is nationally recognised as a blueprint facility. If you are not already part of the Get on the Team scheme and you are a P.AY.E. worker or own your own business then please show your support and contact you local Club or County Board officer and Get yourself on the team.
In order to get on a team your contribution must be of € 1000, but Lei trim GAA have a scheme by which you can achieve this through a Tax relief scheme
The tax scheme allows you to make a cash donation which is further topped up by a donation from your annual tax bill depending on your P.A.Y.E. tax rate (41% or 20%). E.g. if you donate €590 and you pay tax at 41% then Leitrim GAA can claim back €410 from your tax bill. Your tax relief portion will bring your full donation to €1,000 which qualifies you for the white team. There are 6 categories of team, Gold, Bronze, Silver, Green, Yellow, white, for which you can qualify depending on the amount of your donation
However only donations in access of € 250 are eligible for the tax relief but Leitrim GAA would be delighted to accept a donation of any nature towards this project and all donations will be recognized as other donations towards the scheme
Be part of a unique team and be part of a team that will go down in history as The team that built the stand. A plaque will be erected at the entrance to Páirc Sean in honor of each 15 person donation team.
