Connacht 40×20 Championship

The Connacht 40×20 championship is up and running with several Leitrim players in action at the week-end. In Junior C Drumshanbos Declan came out the losing side of the encounter with Swinfords Adrian Feerick 8-21, 10-21. Fenaghs Jamie Murray met the same fate against Peter Cassidy losingon a scoreline of 13-21, 14-21. The only winner at the week-end was Drumshanbos Martin Raftery who defeated David Davern 21-20, 21-4 in the Junior championship. In the Ladies Junior Championship Mary Shanley lost out and Joanne Logan also lost out in the Junior B Championship. Next week-end the 40×20 Doubles Championship starts up with Donal Wrynn and Martin Raftery in action in Intermediate and Ciara McLoughlin and Michelle Gaffney playing in Ladies Junior B
