Aughawillan Club Notes – 08/08/2017

Senior: Well done to the Senior team who picked up their first win of the championship beating Allen Gaels last Saturday evening. Final Score 2-13 to 0-07. Next up is local rivals Ballinamore this Friday evening at 8.30pm in Cloone. All support welcome.

Junior: Well done to our Junior’s who started the championship with a brilliant win over Mohill last Sunday in Cloone. The team lined out with a mixture of youth and vast amounts of experience, the game was tight throughout with some great long range points by John Gilheany and Paul Prior and a goal by Lewis Meakin keeping our noses in front at half time. Two well taken second half goals by Jason Prior gave us a bit of breathing space, Mohill fought back though to level the game, but a monster free kick by Paul Prior with the last kick of the game sealed the victory. It was a great team performance full of heart and determination, well done to all involved. Final Score 3-08 to 0-16.
