Allen Gaels GAA Club Notes 20/12/2017
All Ireland Champions – Congratulations to Drumshanbo Vocational Schools Senior Boys who claimed the All Ireland Schools A Title last Wednesday as they bridged a 13-year gap so well done to all concerned.
25 Card Drive – Allen Gaels 25 Card Game continues every Sunday evening in Aras Phadraig at 8:30pm. Refreshments served. All welcome.
Lotto – There was no winner of the lotto jackpot & the numbers drawn were 10-12-18-20. The 5 prize winners of €20 each were: Terry Fitzpatrick, Sligo; Catherine O’Dowd, Carrick-on-Shannon; Susan Gilmartin, Ballinaglera; Mary Sweeney, Cootehall and Pius Earley, Mount Allen. The jackpot now stands at €2,400. There is no lotto next week as Christmas Day falls on Monday so our next draw is a special New Year Day Draw at bingo on January 1st at 3pm. There will be a guaranteed €500 paid out with 10 prizes of €50.
Ireland’s Fittest Family – Congratulations to the Beirne Family, Mohill on their great win which was shown on Sunday night.
Sympathy – The club extends deepest condolences to the Durkin Family, Knockvicar & the O’Callaghan Family, Church Street on the very sad passing of Fidelma Durkin; sincere sympathy to the Cornyn Family, Dowra on the sad passing of Gregory Cornyn; to the Family of Mary O’Hagan, Naomh Padraig and formerly of Coalisland, Co. Tyrone and to the Grunewald Family, on the passing of Adelaide’s sister Patricia. May they rest in peace.
