Club Membership – Club membership for 2018 is now due. There will be a club registration night in the coming weeks so please check for details.
25 Card Drive – Allen Gaels 25 Card Game continues every Sunday evening in Aras Phadraig at 8:30pm. Refreshments served. All welcome.
Lotto – There was no winner of the lotto jackpot at the New Year Lotto Draw & the numbers were 01-02-23-24. The 10 prize winners of €50 each were: Una McEvoy, Ardcolum; Alex Jones, Dowra; Coleen Blessing, Ballinaglera; Eamon Glynn, Arigna; Bridie Flanagan, Cortober; Larry Burke, Creenagh; Conor Tiernan, Drumshanbo; Chris McKenna, Drumkeeran; Maura Noone, Boyle and Cathal McMorrow, Drumshanbo. The jackpot now stands at €2,600.
Drumshanbo Athletic Club – Couch to 5 km begins again on Tuesday 16th January from 7-8pm. Registration at the Mayflower from 6.45pm. Cost is €50 for all sessions until Easter. All beginners especially welcome. Fit for Group continues each Tuesday from 8.15pm at the Mayflower. Cost is €50 for all sessions until Easter. New members especially welcome.
Engagement – Congratulations to Stephen Tiernan and Yvonne Cornyn who announced their engagement over the Christmas period.
Sympathy – Unfortunately there were a number of bereavements over the holidays and the club extends deepest condolences to the Walsh Family, Derrintober on the sad passing of John’s father, Jack Walsh who was laid to rest in Mayo last week; sincere sympathy to the McGarry Family, Drumleague on the sad passing of Sheila’s mother, Mary McGirr, who was laid to rest in Donegal; to the Family of Bridie Heffernan, Mahanagh who passed away before Christmas and to the Blessing Family, Hillcrest Grove on the sad passing of Aine’s mother, Mary Watters, who was laid to rest in Ballintogher. May they rest in peace.
