National Club Draw – Thanks to everyone who bought and sold tickets. A big thank you to Tanya McPartland for co-ordinating it.
College success – Well done to Gerard Clarke who represented Ballyhaise and Oisín McGourty who represented Mountbellew in the recent Agricultural/horticultural All Ireland colleges final held in Longford recently. Congratulations to Gerard who was on the winning team and commiserations to Oisin. Great to see two players from the club represented.
Training – Training for the 2018 season got underway recently with our new manager Kevin Nolan. We wish Kevin and his selectors Noel and Colm the very best of luck for the year ahead! Last year’s league success has left us wanting more!!
Ladies – The ladies have been training hard over the last few weeks under their new management of Paul Martin and Gareth Smith. They’ve had a positive start to the season as they look forward to competing in the Paidí O Shea tournament in Kerry on the 17th February. They are the only Leitrim team represented in this year’s tournament. No doubt it will be a memorable weekend.
Sympathy – The club wishes to send our sincere condolences to the Mc Gourty family of Ballinaglera and Calry, Sligo on the recent tragic death of Alex McGourty. May his gentle soul rest in peace and may his family find strength at this very difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
