Newtowngore Engineering U-17 League – The U-17’s begin their league campaign at home on Saturday against Ballinamore. Best of luck to Fergus, Micky, Noel & the team.
Barna Recycling U-13 League – The U-13’s kick off on Sunday at 12noon in Drumkeerin against the home side. Best of luck to Cyril, Kenneth, Richard & the lads.
Tony McGowan Run – The 6th Annual Tony McGowan Run takes place this Sunday, February 18th at 1:30pm. Registration from 12noon at the Mayflower. The event is organised by Drumshanbo Athletic Club in association with the Shannon Blueway and this year will see an exciting new route along the new Boardwalk at Acres Lake. Anyone available to help with stewarding on the day should contact Oisin Dolan as soon as possible.
Annual Race Night – The race night takes place on March 3rd in Conway’s. Anyone that can help out with sponsorship please contact any club officer. There will also be an awards presentation on the night. More details next week.
Club Membership – Club membership is now due. Anyone who missed the registration night last week can still join by contacting registrar, Neil Nolan or any club officer.
St. Francis Ladies – Best wishes to the ladies team which is taking part in the Comortas Peile Paudi O’Se in West Kerry this weekend.
25 Card Drive – Allen Gaels 25 Card Game continues every Sunday evening in Aras Phadraig at 8:30pm. Refreshments served. All welcome.
Lotto – There was no winner of the lotto jackpot & the numbers drawn were 10-15-16-17. The 5 prize winners of €20 each were: Amy Crawford, Dowra; Irene & Eilish, Drumshanbo; Frankie McPartland, Ballinaglera; Margaret McTiernan & Mary Keenan, Carrick-on-Shannon and Kathleen McMorrow, Dowra. The jackpot now stands at €3,100.
Engagement – Congratulations to Cathal Kielty and Mairead Gilboy who announced their engagement at the weekend.
