Aughavas GAA Club Notes 20/02/2018
LOTTO – There was no winner of the Lotto jackpot on Saturday night last. The numbers drawn were 5-1-2-4-6-7-3-0. €30 winners were Peter McBrien, Alanna Bohan, Mary Hunt, Anne Brady and Ciaran Moran. The house prize sponsored by The Dugout was won by Sean (Jacko) McKiernan. The next draw is Saturday 3rd March in Terry Shortt’s Heritage Bar, Ballinamore with Dan & Noel’s team hosting. The Lotto jackpot will be €10,300. Envelopes €2 or three for €5. If you’re not in you can’t win!

CONGRATULATIONS – Aughavas GAA Club would like to send congratulations to Ros Williams on being called into the Senior Leitrim panel for goalkeeping duties. Also, congratulations to Fintan Gallogly, Seamus Sweeney and Eoin Kenny who are all on the U20 County Panel and finally congratulations to two of our young players Diarmuid Casey and James Canning who made their first appearance with our Intermediate team in a recent challenge game in Templeport.
UNDERAGE PRESENTATION – Last Sunday evening in Aughavas GAA Clubrooms Leitrim County Player Conor Gaffney presented the u14 St Joseph’s 2017 Feile team with their medals. A presentation of a framed jersey was presented to sponsors “The Dugout”, “Mitchell’s Bar”, “Kilbracken Arms Hotel”, “Andelise Curtains & Blinds” and, “Celtic Security Solutions.” Thanks also to McCanns Centra Carrigallen who sponsored football bags and Orla Kearney, Hairdresser who sponsored socks. We would also like to thank Willie Donnellan and Terry Williams for the photography on the night and a big thank you to the ladies in the kitchen for the lovely tea, sandwiches and goodies.
ESLIN “THE KUBE” – Gerry Gallogly is organising a Fundraising Walk/Run 7.5km which will take place on Sunday 25th February in Aughavas. Registration in the Club rooms at 12.30pm, the fee is €5.00 each and €10.00 for families. All are welcome on the day. Help Gerry beat “the Kube” for Eslin GAA.
DIVISION 3 LEAGUE – The first round of the league will commence on the weekend of the 3/4th March with an away game against Glenfarne/Kiltyclogher.
LEITRIM SUPPORTERS TICKETS – We have received our allocation of Leitrim Supporters tickets which are available for sale from all committee members. Tickets cost €50 – First prize is €5,000. We would be grateful if you buy tickets from Aughavas committee members. The draw will take place on Sunday 10th March in Cox’s Steakhouse.
