Annaduff GAA Club Notes 12/03/2018
Newtowngore Engineering U17 League – Our U17s had a great win on Saturday last in Annaduff facing Dromahair in the D2 league. Full-time score Annaduff 6-06 St. Patrick Dromahair 4-09. Team: Padraig Kane, Ultan Kelly, Tommie Taylor, Cormac Kane, Francis Shanley, Declan Gill, Jack Kelly, Jack Hughes, Michael Murray, Jason Ward, Caolan Quigley, Hugh Boyce. Subs: Keelan Lynch, Shane Faughnan, and Craig McGuinness. We play Glencar-Manorhamilton at home on Saturday next (17th) at 11am.
Barna Recycling Under 13 League – Our U13s played St.Bridgets in Aughnasheelin on Sunday evening last. They conceded two early goals but soon started to take their own scores and went in at halftime ahead by 3 points Annaduff 1-10 to St. Bridget’s 2-4. The lads scored 1-2 in the few minutes of the second half to take control of the game. This included a wonderful goal in which the Annaduff lads won their own short kick out and moved the ball quickly up the field with six players receiving and passing the ball before Darren slid it past the keeper into the net. There was a good spread of scored with a final score Annaduff 3-15 to St.Bridgets 4-06. Team: Liam McNamee, Kyle Russell, Eoghan Ridge(0-01), Patrick Beirne(0-2), Josh Gill, Declan Cox, Darren Cox(1-04), Mel Fitzpatrick, Caelan Newton, Nathan Cox(2-01), Senan Mooney(0-6), Eamonn Healy(0-1), Oisin Hannon, and Oran Beirne. Round 5 sees our lads home to Gortletteragh on Sunday the 25th.
Swan Bar Division 3 – Our Juniors started their league campaign away to Fenagh St Caillin’s on Saturday afternoon. Under terrible mucky conditions after a lot of rain. The Annaduff side were up at half time with a scoreline of Annaduff 0-6 Fenagh 0-2. But the home side took hold of the game in the second half finishing out on a scoreline of Annaduff 0-9 to Fenagh 3-9. Team: Shane Cox, Stephen Murray, Keith Duignan, Chris Farrell, James Riordan, Noel Ward, Dean Gill, Eoin Gill(0-2), Mark Beirne, Frank McNabola, Gavin O Brien(0-2), Jason Lyons, Mathew Reynolds, Sean Duignan(0-1), & Sean Quigley(0-2). Subs: Colm Cox(0-2) for Frank (9min) injured. Colm Fitzpatrick for Mark (33min) Injured. Jonathan Harte for Jason (43 min) and James Cox for James Riordan (48 min). We wish a speedy recovery to the 2 lads injured.
Leitrim Supporters Club – Big thank you to all those who sold and bought the Leitrim supporters tickets from the Annaduff GAA allocation. Unfortunatley we had no winners this year. Congratulations to Carrigallen GAA who scooped top prize of €5000 and to all the other winners.
Congratulations – To one of our club players Thomas Flannagan and his wife Therese from Dromod on the birth of their baby boy recently. His place is booked on the U8s already I here !!
The Kube – Best of luck to Sean McNabola representing Annaduff in the Eslin GAA version of the Kube in Lough Rynn on this coming Friday night the 16th.
Lotto – The Annaduff Parish & GAA lotto draw took place in Taylor’s Drumsna on Sunday the 11th March
