Aughavas GAA Club Notes 12/03/2018

LOTTO – The next draw is Sunday 18^th March in “The Dugout” with Fintan & Pauline’s team hosting.  The Lotto jackpot will be €10,400.  Envelopes €2 or three for €5.  If you’re not in you can’t win!

FIXTURES – Our Division 3 Team League campaign finally commenced on Saturday 10^th March with a local derby against our neighbours Carrigallen where we came out winners.  We have no Division 3 games this weekend.  Our Junior Team also won on Sunday in Aughavas against Mohill.  The juniors will play Cloone next Friday night 16^th March at 9pm in Cloone.

LEITRIM SENIOR TEAM – We wish the Leitrim Team the best of luck in the forthcoming league game against Waterford on Sunday 18^th March.

LEITRIM HURLERS – Congratulations to the Leitrim Hurlers who beat Cavan and are now through to the Division 3B Final against Lancashire.  Well done to the team and management.

FAI AFTERSCHOOL CLUB – The FAI afterschool Club starts in Aughavas N.S. on Wednesday 18^th April for 4 weeks from 3pm-4pm.  It is open to both boys & girls from 2^nd class to 6^th class Cost €10. Booking only by email leitrim.afterschools.fai@gmail.com to ensure participant ratio as per FAI guidelines.

SCÓR NA MBUNSCOILEANNA – Congratulations to St Joseph’s NS team (Gary Mitchell, Conor Shortt, Bradley Codwell, Mark McDermott, Edel McKiernan, Sarah Greene, Tori Codwell& Caoimhe Casey) who took 1^st place in Rince Foirne at the Scor na mBunscoile in Cloone Community Centre on Friday night last.  Congratulations also to our quiz team who came 2^nd in the Trath na gCeist, Liam McIntyre, Padraig Maguire & Eanna McNamara.  Well done to all.

ST PATRICK’S DAY PARADE – Aughavas St Patrick’s Day parade will start at Aughavas National School at 12.30pm with St Patrick himself.   There will be lots of sweets and treats with €100 for the best float. Bouncy Castle for entertainment at The Dugout from 1:30 to 5:30pm.
