Leitrim Hurling – Comhghairdeas – After the Leitrim hurlers excellent performance against Cavan in the last round they earned a final place against Lancashire who they met on Sunday in Ballyconnell. Despite a tremendous performance by the Leitrim team taking the game into extra t,ime they were unfortunate to lose. We would all like to congratulate them on doing so well and wish them well in the Championship

Barna Recycling U13 League – Our U13’s had a great win against Dromahair in the park on Sunday last. We hit the scoreboard first with brilliant points from Paul Honeyman and our Captain of the day Naoise McManus. Dromahair fought back level with two great score of their own. For 10mins the game was stale mate with end to end action with neither team able to take the advantage due to fine defending from both sides. Gavin Darcy finally broke the deadlock with a might long range effort which sailed over the bar. We began to pull ahead after a well worked team goal finished brilliantly by Paul Honeyman. Further scores from Louis Quinn and Michael McBrien and yet another goal this time by Naoise meant we had a comfortable lead of 2-6 to 4 goin into the second half. All of which came from hard work and pressure our midfielders Gavin and Tommy Smith put on the Dromahair kick out. In the second half, we continued our dominent spell without reward however we held on and ran out winners 2.9 to 1.7. Hard shifts were put in by every man especially in our back line, Cian McGovern and Michael
McBrien in particular. Team Darragh Gavin, Cian McGovern, Michael McBrien, Mark Ahern, Neil Sweeney, Michael Keegan, Paul Honeyman, Kaylon Murray, Gavin Darcy, Tommy Smith, Louis Quinn, Colum Gartland, Cathal MCarthy, Rian McManus, Harry Prior, Naoise McManus
