Glenfarne/Kiltyclogher GAA Club Notes 23/04/2018

Swan Bar Division 3 League – We played Eslin on Saturday evening in Division 3 League in a competitive game. Unfortunately, we lost out on a scoreline of 1-12 to 12 points. Our team and scorers was: Stephen McPartland, Brian Fox, Jamie Kiernan, Sean Dillon (0-1), Oisin McDermott, Dermot Harkin, Niall McManus, Cian Rock (0-1), Barry McDermott, Darren Murray (0-1), Daire Clancy, Shane McLoughlin, Gary Slevin, Fergal Clancy (0-8), Dermot O’Rourke. Subs: Neville McDermott for Daire Clancy, Matthew Kerrigan for Sean Dillon, Niall Clancy for Niall McManus (0-1), Michael Gilgunn for Shane McLoughlin, John McLoughlin for Barry McDermott, Darren McLoughlin, Fergal Magill, JJ McManus, Cian Fox. We wish Barry McDermott a speedy recovery after sustaining an ankle injury. We play Fenagh on Saturday in Fenagh at 7pm in the next round.

Family Walk – We are holding a family walk on the “Cullentra Greenway” on 7th May. Assemble at St. Michael’s National School at 12noon. All monies raised will go the club.

Leitrim V New York – We are running a pools competition for the game. €10 per box. Halftime prize €100 Full time Prize €200. Boxes can be purchased from Joe Keaney or Éilis McGourty

Glenfarne/Kilty GAA Tops & Bobble Hats – Anyone wishing to purchase our half zip tops can do so in Clancy’s of Glenfarne before 18th May. They are priced as follows: Up to 10-11 €45, 13-14 €50 and adults €55. We also have a number of club bobble hats for sale in Clancys. We have them in Black and White and Grey and Pink. These are €15.

Sean MacDiarmada Boxing – We extend a huge thank you to the Sean MacDiarmada boxing club for holding an exhibition in the Rainbow on Sunday afternoon. A huge thank you to The Holy Family Boxing Club Drogheda and Ballinacarrow Boxing Club for travelling to Glenfarne also. A special mention to Pat Slevin Construction who sponsored the event and also to those who attended the event and purchased raffle tickets.
