St Patrick’s Dromahair GAA Club Notes 23/04/2018
Swan Bar Division 4 – Unfortunately we were defeated away to Ballinaglera last Saturday by 5-9 to 1-9. Next fixture will be against Aughavas on Sunday at 12pm in St Osnats, Glencar.
Leitrim Health Is Wealth – This event which is co-organised by our own Health and Wellbeing Officer Hubert McHugh will take place in The Bush Hotel, Carrick on Shannon on May 16th. Doors open 7pm with free admission. This promises to be a great night and there will be a variety of different speakers including Oisin McConville, Dr Harry Barry and Mary McEvoy. Master of ceremonies on the night will be RTE presenter Mary Kennedy.
Underage – Sadly our U13 team lost the 15 a side Shield Final last week vs St Josephs on a scoreline of 3-04 to 2-11. A big effort from the lads but it wasn’t to be. Our U15 team take the field for the first time this year with Rd 1 of the league taking place on Thursday vs Annaduff in St Osnat’s Glencar at 7.30pm. Rd 2 is scheduled for Tuesday 1st May vs St Brigid’s. Time and location TBC. As always keep an eye on group text/social media for any changes. We wish the lads luck for a successful campaign.
Connacht Gold Senior Championship – We have been drawn in Group 1 of the championship along with Mohill, Ballinamore Sean O’Heslins, Aughawillan, Drumreilly and Gortlettragh.
Congratulations – A massive well done to 3 Dromahair players James Clinton, Jamie Cawley and Eoin Ryan who were part of the Summerhill College panel who were victorious in the Connacht Juvenile A League Final over St Jarlath’s College, Tuam in a double score victory 2-16 to 1-8. We wish you further success in the future.
