Glenfarne/Kiltyclogher GAA Club Notes 11/06/2018

Division 3 League – We played St. Mary’s on Sunday in Pairc Naomh Mhuire. We suffered a loss on the day when a clear goal was denied by the man in the middle and suffered the loss of Cian Rock with a broken arm. We learn from the mistakes and move on to the next game. Final Score was 1-18 to 3-5. Our team and scorers were: Stephan McPartland, Jonathan Keaney, Brian Fox, John McLoughlin, Michael Gilgunn, Dermot Harkin, Niall McManus, Cian Rock (0-1), Dermot O’Rourke, Rory McLoughlin (1-0), Diarmuid Clancy (1-1), Shane McLoughlin, Gary Slevin, Darren Murray (1-2), Oisin McDermott (0-1) Subs: Darren McLoughlin for Cian Rock, Ronan Magill for Dermot O’Rourke, JJ McManus for Gary Slevin. We wish Cian Rock a speedy recovery from his injury.

Race Night – We will be holding a Horse Race Night in Ketty’s on Sunday 5th August as part of Glenfarne Gala Weekend. Horses will be on sale in the coming weeks. If anyone would like to sponsor a race please contact Assumpta Clancy or Éilis McGourty

Lotto – Our monthly lotto draw took place recently. Numbers drawn were: 13, 23, 24, 36. No winners of our jackpot. Consolation prizes were €20 Paddy McGowan, Kiltyclogher, €10 Assumpta Clancy, Glenfarne & Joe McHugh Glenfarne. Thanks to all those who purchased tickets.

Engagement – Heartiest congratulations from all those in the club to former footballer Francis Dillon, Kiltyclogher who got engaged to Claire Cullen, Glenfarne recently. Enjoy the celebrations.
