Gortletteragh GAA Club Notes 11/07/2018
Under 12 Cross Border Plate Champions – What a game we had in Longford last Sunday morning! It was like a shoot-out at high noon. We thought we saw everything from this group but they held their best till last. Ballymahon started off very fast where they went into 2-02 lead before we hit back with 4 points. At halftime, the score read 2-03 to 0-06 in Ballymahon’s favor. They held the lead the whole way through the second half until the last minute when Gortletteragh kept battling and found a way to draw the game. With the game ending in a draw, extra time ensued, it was getting like the World Cup. After extra time and some huge displays of composure and determination, with skill and a never say die attitude from our backs, midfielders and forwards and a man of the match performance from our goalkeeper we came out on top with a scoreline of 1-12 to 2-08. Team: Ultán McNulty, Brian Liu Doyle, Ben Cunningham, Daragh McGirl, David Liu Doyle, Patrick Gormley, George Glaze, Noah McNulty, John McGoldrick, Tommy Reen, Cian Sorohan, Mathew Carlton, Tomas Hynes, Andrew Bohan, Ryan Egan, Tadhg Crowe, Ollie McManus,
