Drumkeerin GAA Club Notes 14/07/2018
Men’s Intermediate Championship – we played against Leitrim Gaels on Saturday in Pairc Sean in round 3 of group 2 in the Intermediate Championship. The final score was Drumkeerin 0-08(8) to Leitrim Gaels 1-14 (17). A tough loss for the lads. They currently sit in third in group 2 after two wins earlier in the campaign, the top four teams go through to the quarter finals. Theres no game for them this weekend as they take a break before playing Ballinaglera the following Saturday, August 25th. Time and venue to be decided.
Men’s Junior Championship – Our junior men’s championship continued on Sunday when they played Carrigallen. The final score was Drumkeerin 2-12 (18) to Carrigallen 1-19 (22). A game that just got away from them with shortened numbers in the dying minutes of the game. They’ll play Glenfarne/Kiltyclogher this upcoming Saturday in Drumshambo at 5:30pm. It’s the only game of the weekend for the men’s teams and support is appreciated. Best of luck to all involved.
U17 Boys Championship – After a bye week the lads play St Marys this upcoming Monday, 20th Aug, at 7:30pm. The game is on St Marys pitch in Carrick on Shannon. It’s a big game for the lads and plenty of support is encouraged, best of luck to all involved.
U13 Boys Championship – the lads played Fenagh on Thursday last, final score was Drumkeerin 2-08 (14) to Fenagh 1-09 (12). With three games left to play the lads sit in second place in the table. They play Seán Ó hEislin in Ballinamore this Thursday, 16th Aug, at 7:30pm. Best of luck to all involved
Lotto Results – Draw for July 28th numbers drawn were 4, 21, 24, 25. There was no jackpot winner, the five €20 winners were Tommy Ginty, Dean McTiernan, Michael Rynn, Pauline Gallagher and also Pat McMorrow. The numbers drawn for the draw on August 11th were 4, 5, 14, 16. There was no jackpot winner and the five €20 winners were Clodagh McPartlin, Tim Arnett, Triona McPartlin, John McTiernan and also Mary Power.
All Ireland Final Draws – the winners of this years All Ireland Hurling final tickets were Paul Hazlett and Charlene Maguire and also the winners of the All Ireland Football Final tickets were James Carrigan and Padraig Fallon.
