Leitrim Gaels GAA Club Notes 04/09/2018
Under 13 Championship – Hard luck to our brilliant under 13 team who fought to the final whistle against a very strong St Marys team in Pairc Sean on Friday evening last. In a wonderfully exciting game our lads lost by the bare minimum with St Marys snatching victory with a point from a free in the last play of the game. Both teams entertained the very large crowd with some absolutely brilliant skills and determination to match. Our lads did the club proud and with a little bit more luck could have been the victors. Thanks to Aidan Flynn who has worked so hard in preparing this panel of players so well all year to have a Gaels underage team making a Division 1 Championship final for the first time. Better days lie ahead in the not so distant future for these kids. Well done one and all, and thank you to the wonderful Gaels supporters who once again turned out in droves to cheer the team on. Team and scorers were Brian Cull, Johnny Gavigan Donegan, Josh McNamee, Aaron Rynn, Jamie Rynn (0-1), Aaron Farrell, Dhani Keane, Liam Chandler (1-05), Narotam Patrascu, Matthew Murtagh, James Shanley (1-1), Dermot Daly (0-1), Ben Finn (1-1), Conor Mc Loughlin (0-1), Fionn Curley, Conor Deegan, Sean Gaffney, Luke Aldridge, Ciaran Aldridge, Matthew O Boyle, Aaron O Callaghan, Mark Malone, Frank Cullen, Calum Moran, Scott Kerr, James Stenson, Dylan Beirne, Gearoid Curley, Sean mC keon, Rosco Mc Daid, Iarlaith Martin, Dorian Wozniak, Eoghan Connolly, Jay Keane and Ronan Connolly.
