Aughavas GAA Club Notes 25/10/2018
Lotto – Our next lotto draw will be held in “The Dugout” on Saturday 27th October. Jackpot is €12,000. Colm & Gerry’s Team is hosting the draw. Lotto envelopes €2 each or three envelopes for €5.
St Joseph’s Boys – Well done to our U15’s on securing an important victory over Fenagh on Friday evening last, leading just a point at half time with play not going as well as anticipated and scores hard to come by, midway through the second half we found ourselves trailing by 3 points after conceding a goal, however maybe this was the wakeup call as after this the boys got into the game and pushed on to win by 4-8 to 2-6. They now play Melvin Gaels on Saturday morning in St Mary’s Park, Carrick-on-Shannon in the championship semi-final. Best of luck to all.
Gaeltacht Grants – Leitrim County Board GAA in conjunction with Leitrim County Council is offering grants for attendance at Gaeltacht courses to Leitrim boys and girls as part of their promotion of an Ghaeilge. These grants are open to boys and girls living in Leitrim. Some of the grants are part sponsored by Gaeltacht colleges. In the case of cash grants, when students return they can claim their grant money on production of evidence of having successfully completed the course.
