Bornacoola GAA Club Notes 14/11/2018

U20 Championship – Rinn Gaels faced Drumkeerin in the first round of the knock out U20 B Championship in Cornageeha on Sunday morning last. In a game that was well contested throughout, the Gaels etched out a five point victory on a 1-10 to 0-8 scoreline. This Sunday morning, they travel to Páirc Naomh Muire in Carrick to face St Mary’s in the County Semi-Final. Throw in at 12noon. Best of luck to all involved.

Club Daw – The October draw will took place on Saturday night last in Cox’s Steakhouse, Dromod, Thanks to Cox’s for their hospitality and to Carol for the music. Winners were as follows: €100 Gerard Reilly Dromahair (formerly from Keelagh) €20 each Catherine Cox, Antfield, Louise Staunton, Keelagh, Ellen Woods, Clooncolry, Eugene Cox, Antfield and Jacinta Colreavy, Mohill. Finally, thanks to ticket sellers on the night Pat Farrell and John Woods.

Thanks – Our thanks to our Senior Team manager Morgan Shanley and his backroom team of Gary Mc Closkey, Jonathan Duffy and Anthony Mulligan who have stepped down from their positions with the senior team. The lads gave a huge amount of commitment throughout the year and no doubt all will continue to be involved in various roles within the club over the next few years.

Recent Engagements – Belated congratulations to former ladies player Louise Farrell (Esker) and fiancé Morgan Ryan from Tipperary who got engaged recently. Also to Damian Mc Gowan (Clonturk) and Ikun Chin who hails from Japan who announced their engagement on Friday last. Congratulations to you all
