Leitrim Gaels GAA Club Notes 07/11/2018

Connacht Champions – Congratulations to Stephen Goldrick, Mark Breheny, Liam, Colm, Enda and Donal Moreton along with Declan Deegan and the Carrick hurling team won the Connacht junior hurling final on Saturday against Galway’s Ballygar. They will now play in Ulster Champions in the All Ireland semi-final in the new year.

Underage Coaching – Anyone interested in underage manage or helping out with a team, please let a member of the coaching committee or contact club coaching officer Gerry Curley 0876823674.

Division 1 – Congratulations to Glencar Manorhamilton on winning the Division 1 final on Sunday last against Ballinamore Sean O Heslins.

Connacht Club Championship – Best of luck to Aughawillian against Mayo champions Ballintubber in the Connacht club championship semi-final on Sunday at 2pm in Pairc Sean .

Club Meeting – Club meeting on Sunday 18th November at 6pm in the clubhouse. Anyone wishing to put forward motions to go to Leitrim County Board please raise sooner rather than later so we can formulate the communication.

AGM – Anyone wishing to get involved with the committee for 2019 please contact Linda, date for AGM is proposed for Sunday 2nd December.

Festival 2019 – It is planned to hold a Community Festival in Leitrim Village next August Bank Holiday Weekend (2019). We are holding a meeting in Leitrim Gaels Community Field Clubhouse tonight, Wednesday at 8pm. We are inviting anyone who has ideas of what to include in the weekend program of events to please come to the meeting. The plans for the festival are already well on the way, but any local groups can have a massive input and the organizers hope as many people can attend as possible. All profits raised from this festival will be going back to local group
