Fenagh St Caillin’s GAA Club Notes 20/12/2018
Seasons Greetings – at this Christmas time we would like to extend best wishes to all our members, their families and the people of our community and beyond. We hope you have an enjoyable and peaceful time over the festive period.
Sincere Thanks – Fenagh St Caillins GAA Club wishes to express our sincerest thanks to our successful 2018 senior management team of Declan Maguire, Niall Flynn, Frank Smith and Killian McLoughlin. Declan returned to the club at the start of the year and brought with him the determination, knowledge, and know-how which he instilled into a young team and led them to a rare Leitrim Championship title which this club has strived towards for over 40 years since its last one. Declan was ably assisted by Niall Flynn who is the definition of a great clubman who has given unselfishly of his time and expertise constantly for several years now and achieved his just rewards with this seasons victory. Thanks also to Frank and Killian who were always on hand to fine tune the squad with the wealth of experience they have both gained over successful careers with club and county. We wish Declan and his family all the best in their future endeavours and know that Niall, Frank and Killian will be on hand to assist this club to build stronger in the years to come.

St Caillin’s NS Christmas Carols – this annual event takes place on Thursday evening in St Mary’s Church, Foxfield at 7pm. The occasion will also mark the retirement of Mr Joe Reynolds as the Principal of our school. We would like to sincerely thank Joe for his great contribution to this football club by nurturing scores of present and future Fenagh St Caillin’s footballers as they passed through the school. He has also been involved in the management of our senior team during his term in Fenagh and for this we are very grateful. Everyone is invited to attend on Thursday.
Sympathies – Fenagh St Caillins GAA Club wishes to express our sympathies Sinead Conefrey and the Cosgrove family following the recent passing of Sineads brother Cyril Cosgrove. May he rest in peace.
