Well Done Leitrim – Congratulations and well done to the Leitrim team and management on the great win over Wexford on Sunday. Well done to Darragh and Killian who played a part in the win as well. Good Luck to all against Wicklow next weekend.
Community Walking Continues – Melvin Gaels Healthy Club Committee is joining up with Operation Transformation, the GAA and the Community, for Ireland Lights Up 2019. A fantastic crowd of over 100 turned out for last week’s walk. The walk continues every Thursday night until February 21. The track will be lit up from 7pm to 8pm and everyone of all ages is asked to come along and join in this free weekly event.
Club Membership – Yearly Club Membership is now due. With that in mind, we will be holding club registration/membership sessions on February 8 and 9. Our first registration session will take place on Friday, February 8, from 8pm to 9pm and will be open to Adult players in the community centre. On the February 9, from 10am to 12pm registration of underage players will take place also at the Community Centre. We can accommodate anyone young or old at either session but if at all possible please attend on the date that applies to you or your family. Tea/Coffee & refreshments will be available at both sessions. Members of our coaches and committee will also be available to answer any questions you may have. For our membership rates and to see other methods of payment online on the link below Melvin Gaels is one of the most progressive clubs in Leitrim currently and continues to grow in strength year on year with success on and off the field and our membership offers incredible value for money! Mark on the Park – The support for “Mark on the park” has been excellent so far. Thanks to all who have supported the project so far. Unfortunately, a lot more support is needed and the draw takes place at Easter. If you have not supported the project yet please try to do so. This development will be a fantastic asset to the future generations of Kinlough and surrounding areas. The Committee is appealing to anyone who has yet to support the development to try to help, by joining the draw or sponsoring in any way. The fundraising involves “Make Your Mark on Melvin Park” for €100 which will represent a square of Melvin Park, entry into a draw, prizes 5x €1000, and your name on a commemorative plaque. To get your “Mark on Melvin Park” contact Spar, Kinlough or Pat at 0871787194 or Katherine at 087 287 0086 any of the Committee or go to www.kinloughcommunitycentre.wordpress.com. Any donation would be greatly appreciated.
