CARRICK HURLING – Commiserations to Carrick hurlers on a heartbreaking defeat in the All Ireland Junior Hurling Club semi-final against Castleblaney in Mullingar, losing by the narrowest of margins on a scoreline of 1.08 to 0.10 in a fantastic game that really could have gone either way. To the players, managers and supporters, everyone can be so proud as there has been a great buzz and fantastic colour around the area for the last few weeks creating history along the way as the first Leitrim men’s team to win a Connacht club title. Wishing Castleblaney Hurling and especially Carrick’s Niall Glancy the very best of good luck in the All Ireland Final.
