Cloone Lights Up – The last evening of Operation Transformation: Ireland Lights Up is on this Thursday 21st of February from 7-9pm. Well done to all who have taken part, it has proven to be a very successful initiative again this year. Keep up the good work. The track is a fantastic facility to walk or jog on.
Club Lotto The club Lotto draw took place in McKeon’s Bar last Saturday. The yearly jackpot was won by Aidan Donohoe, Esker, Cloone. Congratulations and the very best of luck with your winnings. The lucky numbers were: 8, 28, 23, 9.
U13 & U17 Boys Weekend Action – This year the U13’s are fielding 2 teams. Their first outing saw Mohill U13 teams playing Glencar/Manorhamilton’s sides on Saturday. The U17’s played Ballinamore/ Kilturbid in Cloone on Sunday. After a busy weekend, no points were secured on the board, but there is a lot more football to be played yet!
Well done to all involved especially our young Cloone players. We would like to wish Cloone’s Conor Keegan a speedy recovery after he received a shoulder injury during the game. Hopefully, he will be back in action in a few weeks.
Healthy Club & Community – On New Year’s Day, a series of walk/runs started on Bothar na Noamh at 12pm every Sunday. This complements Ireland Lights Up events running every Thursday in the park. The last of this block of runs will take place next Sunday 24th at 12pm on Bothar na Naomh, with tea afterwards in the Community Centre. If you haven’t tried it, it’s never too late to start, all are welcome. Well done to everyone who has been out and about for the months of Jan and Feb.
