Allen Gaels GAA Club Notes 29/04/2019

Lotto – There was no winner of this week’s lotto jackpot of €6,100 with the numbers 9-13-18-28 drawn out. The 5 winners of €20 are: Bea Cullen; Drumshanbo, Edward Callaghan; Drumshanbo, Elaine Barnicle; Claremorris, Meryl, Saida, Noah & Aran; Drumshanbo & Winnie Coyne; Dowra. Next week’s jackpot now stands at €6,200. Thank you again for all your continued support.

Division 3 League – We were defeated by St. Marys last Saturday evening, hard luck to the lads who put in a battling display. This weekend we play Carrigallen at home on Saturday at 7pm so again best of luck to the lads and we ask you to please come out to support the lads.

St. Francis Ladies – The ladies had a brilliant 4-15 to 1-5 victory over Mohill last Sunday morning in the pitch. Well done to all the girls and to the management also a special mention to Amy Moran, Megan Moran & Zaklina Ozdobinska who all made their senior debuts as well. No fixtures this weekend.

Westlink Coaches U-15 league – The lads earned a hard fought 1 point win over Melvin Gaels on Thursday evening with a final score of Allen Gaels 3-15 Melvin Gaels 4-11. Well done to all the lads and management. We now play Leitrim Gaels this Thursday evening at 7pm in Leitrim best of luck to the lads and please support.

25 Card Drive – The card game continues in Aras Padraig every Sunday night at 8:30pm. All welcome.

Sympathy – The club sends its deepest sympathies the family and friends of Gerry Nangle formerly of Cornaroy who was laid to rest in Drumshanbo during the week, May he rest in peace.
