Swan Bar Division 4 – The Juniors played out a very exciting draw with Cloone in Dromod on Saturday evening last. In a game in which the lead exchanged hands on a number of occasions a late Robert O Beirne point proved the crucial score as it tied the sides on 14 points apiece and ensured a deserved share of the spoils. Team on duty was Conor Hackett, Roy Keenan, Mervyn Howard, Kevin Mulligan, Robert O Beirne, Liam Mulligan, Gearoid Mulligan, Michael Duignan, Gary Mc Closkey, Danny Farrell, Kevin Shanley, Ronan Mulligan, Sean O Riordan, John Shanley, and Brian Conroy. LGFA Division 2 – Bornacoola/St Mary’s won their second match in ten days as they accounted for Glencar/Manorhamilton’s second string on Sunday morning last in Boggaun. The LGFA League Division 2 encounter finished on a 2-11 to 0-6 scoreline at the sunny North Leitrim venue. On an excellent playing surface, which is a credit to the home club, the girls were quick into their stride and held an early 1-2 to 0-1 advantage. The home side proved worthy opponents but with staunch defending were held to four points as the first half came to a conclusion with our girls holding a 2-7 to 0-4 interval lead. The second half was an end to end affair with respective defences keeping the majority of attacks at bay. At the conclusion, our girls still held sway shading the second half 0-4 to 0-2 to record a fine victory. With 2 wins from 3, they have three weeks to prepare for the last remaining fixture versus Mohill on May 26th.On duty on Sunday last were Caroline Guckian, Isabelle Chandler, Jasmine Maye, Enya Guckian, Ellen Woods, Lorraine Guckian, Hannah Reynolds, Alison McKeon, Kasey Bruen, Caoimhe McCrann (1-0), Elise Bruen, Rachel McGarry, Sarah Reynolds, Sara Crowe (1-2), Nadine Hackett (0-9). Sympathy – The sympathies of the club are extended to the family of the late Therese Mayville (nee Hackett) Gubagraphy who passed away following an illness at the weekend. Ar dheis Dé go raibh sí.
