Underage Presentation – The underage presentation of medals to the Under 13, 15 and 17 teams took place on Saturday last in the clubhouse. The medals were presented by Aidan Flynn and Colm Moreton. The under 12 team were runners-up in the Longford/Leitrim League. The under 13 team were runners-up in the 15 aside Championship after being unbeaten in the round robin stage. The under 15 team won the 15 a side Leauge Shield. The under 17 team won the 15 Division 1 Championship Shield Final. Well done to Donal Casey who received the Under 17 player of the year. Thanks for Marty Costello on supplying equipment for the night. Thanks to all those that helped make the night.
Coaches Meeting – Coaches meeting on Saturday 12th in the clubhouse for all coaches/mentors from Under 11’s up to discuss the year ahead, training, updates, membership and protocol. We are looking for all attend.
Membership – Membership is now due and there will be a membership evening on Saturday 19th in the clubhouse from 5-7pm. All members paid up before 31st March 2019 will have full voting rights. Adult Players €60, Under 13 up to Student Adult Player €40, Under 11 down €20 plus €2 per session. Familly (2 Adults and 2 Kids or more) €100. Non-Playing Adult €25.

National Draw – The National draw tickets are on sale locally from committee members, senior players and local Businesses. They cost €10 each with fantastic prizes. This is one of our main Fundraising events and all proceeds go towards the cost of running the club. We very much appreciate your support.
Leirim Gaels Community Field Lotto – There were 2 draws held in the last few weeks. On the 18th December, the Christmas draw was held in Donnellan’s. There was no Jackpot winner. Winners of €50 each were Isla Treacy Drumshanbo, Evelyn Doran Finisklin, Padraig Sweeney Drumshanbo and Eileen Murray Waterfront Apartments. The winners of Bottles of Whiskey were Eileen Murray Waterfront Apartments and Maura Guckian Kiltoghert. The first draw of 2019 was held on 2nd January in the Leitrim Inn. There was again no winner of the Jackpot. Winners of €20 were Isla Treacy Drumshanbo, Peter Keaveney Ballinaboy, Jimmy&Thomas c/o Gerry Spellman, Brian Marian & Alan Carty Drumshanbo. The next draw is on the 15th January in Donnellan’s with a Jackpot of €7550.
Leitrim Community Facilities – The Leitrim Community facilities National Lottery Scheme draw for the paid-up members was held on 23rd December after Mass in St Joseph’s Centre. The 12 winners of €100 are as follows: Frank McGovern, Phyllis Nolan, Bernadette Alwright, James Keane, Paul Cryan, Linda Gavigan, Ciaran & Ashling Corcoran, Gael Guckian, Ricky Wynne, Benny McLoughlin, Sean Moreton and Tony Mackey.
Leitrim Seniors – Leitrim senior team hard-fought game coming from 9 points down to finish level in the FBD league on Sunday last against mayo. They lost on 4-1 on a penalty competition to decide on the result. We wish our own club player Aidan Flynn a speedy recovery after his knock on Sunday.
Carrick Hurling – Carrick Hurling all Ireland Club semi-final takes place on Sunday 20th in Mullingar. It would be great to see as many of our supporters to cheer the team on that has six players from Leitrim Gaels. Carrick Hurling has asked as many people in the area to put out flags in support of the team. Check Carrick Hurling Facebook for the availability of flags.
