Kiltubrid Lip Sync Legends – Just over 4 weeks to go until the Kiltubrdi Lip Sync Legends Night in association with our Main Sponsor North West Tool Hire on Saturday 17th November in the Landmark Central.  Acts are currently going to through rigourous rehearsals ahead of the big night.  Over the next few weeks each Act will be holding Mini-Fundraisers in advance of the Lip Sync Legends Night. Sympathy – The Club extends its deepest sympathy to the family of John James Winters, Derreen, Drumcong who passed away earlier this week.  May he rest in Peace.

U15 – The lads finished off their Round Robin fixtures with a comfortable win over Annaduff last week.  The lads now play the Championship Shield Semi-Final at home to Drumkeerin next Sat 27th October at 12noon.

Intermediate Champions – Well done to our neighbours Fenagh St Caillians who defeated Annaduff to win the Intermediate Titles after a gap of 44 Years.

Kids Halloween Party – What’s now becoming an annual event due to popular demand we will be holding the Kids Halloween Party next Monday 29th October from 5pm – 7pm in Pairc Cill Tiobraid.  Scary Music, Ghoulish Games, Devlish Treats, Frights & Delights!!   Something for all Kids Big & Small Indoor and Outdoor on the evening. Face Painting, Kids & Adult Fancy Dress, Kids Art Exhibition, Pumpkin Design Competition, Food/Drink, Music and Football.  Everyone attending is encouraged to bring a small selection of treats for sharing on the night. Soccer Tournament – Our Men’s Football Team Lip Sync Act “Spice Boys” are holding a Soccer Tournament on Saturday 26th October in the Aura Leisure Centre Carrick starting at 12noon.  Please contact Mickey or Shane for further details or keep an eye on Social Media for more details.

Dirty Dancing – The Kiltubrid G4MO Lip Sync are hosting a screening of “Dirty Dancing” in Rocking Mollies on the Sat 10th November.  More details for the events on the night are available on Social Media.

Scary Kesh Feis – Keshcarrigan and surrounding areas are becoming a mecca at the moment for Scarecrows with some great entries so far.  With a Bank Holiday weekend full of Activities in Keshcarrigan for young and old it sure to be a weekend not to be missed.  On Saturday 27th October there will be a Scary Fun & Games for Big and Smalls Kids from 6pm in Gerties,  Scarecrow Exhibition from 7.30pm in the Village followed by a Fancy Dress Party from 9.30pm in Rockin Mollies for the bigger Kids.  On Sunday 28th October there will be a Zombie Party in Gerties from 8.30pm.  On Monday a Motions, Potions & Slime Making Event will take place in Rockin Mollies from 2pm – 4pm.

Intermediate Final – Congratulations to Fenagh GAA Club who took home the Intermediate title at the weekend, with many past players from victorious Fenagh Gortletteragh Minor and U21 teams featuring in both games. Commiserations to a gallant Annaduff side who we’ve shared many battles with down the years

U15 – Our U15 semifinal is set for this Friday evening under lights at 7 o’clock in center of excellence Annaduff. All support greatly appreciated. These lads have done exceptionally well throughout the group stage winning all their games. Best of luck to the team and mentors.

Mindfulness Classes – Taking place in the Community Centre on Monday nights, 8-10 €5 entry with refreshments.

Division One – The last game of the league is a home game and will be played against Glencar/Manorhamilton this Saturday, 27th October, at 4pm. It’ll be played at home down at the pitch in Drumkeerin. It’s the final outing for the team all year and is very important that the lads win to ensure that they avoid relegation from Division One. All support for a big game against a north Leitrim rival will be needed to cheer on the men’s team one last time this year.

U15 Championship – good luck to our U15 boys in their championship shield semi-final against Kiltubrid this Saturday, 27th October, at 12pm in Kiltubrid. Come out to cheer the lads on, best of luck to all involved.

Underage Presentation Night – To acknowledge the achievements of our club’s young players, in the Community Centre on Saturday 3rd of November at 7pm. David Clarke, Mayo goalkeeper and 2-time All-Star, will be there on the night to present the awards.

Race Night – Drumkeerin GAA Race Night Fundraiser, It’s that time of year again when the Drumkeeran GAA club goes to the races! The Annual Race Night will take place in Wynne’s Bar, Drumkeeran on Sunday, October 28th from 9pm. Your support would be greatly appreciated as this event is vital to our fundraising efforts to continue the development of the club into the future. County Final Day – Congratulations to neighbours Fenagh on their final win, we look forward to a possible meeting in the senior championship!

Dunnes ACL Division One – The senior lads return to league action on Saturday with a match against Fenagh in Fenagh at 16:00. This is a very important match which will determine who reaches the league final.

Indoor Hurling – Indoor Hurling for U10-U13 for 2019 Season is currently on Monday nights 6-7 in the Sports Complex, Full Equipment Provided and this is an excellent introduction to the game.

Comhgairdeas – Comhgairdeas to Ella May Spain and her teammates from Scoil Mhuire in Sandymount who won the All Dublin national schools Gaelic Football final in Croke Park today. Ella May is a granddaughter of John & Evelyn Smith and daughter of Sinead who hails from High Street and she is a regular visitor to Ballinamore .

 Book Launch – “Under the Thatch: Memories of a Longford Childhood” written by our own Seán Ó Súilleabháin was launched on Tuesday evening and is now available to buy, this is a fantastic book that Seán has written about his memories of life in North Longford in the 1950s and 1960s in a most entertaining way.

Leitrim Intermediate Championship Final – Congratulations to the Fenagh St Caillins team who last Sunday was crowned Leitrim Intermediate Champions for 2018. While there were mixed emotions following the previous weeks draw and display there was no repeat this time around with the team producing a top quality performance when it mattered most to ensure the Frank Reynolds Cup would rest for the winter in Fenagh. To scenes of unbridled joy, team captain and the man of the match Ryan O’Rourke lifted the cup to end a 44 year wait for a Fenagh team to win an adult championship final and return to senior championship football for the first time in 10 years. The scenes at the final whistle and on the teams return to Fenagh Village with the cup were so joyous showing what this victory means to the people of the Parish and Fenagh people everywhere. While celebrations continued well into the night and beyond the team’s focus will turn later in the week to the next step on their journey with a first foray into the Connacht Intermediate Championship where they will play the yet to be decided Sligo champions on Nov 3rd. A huge thanks to the entire squad led by the management team of Niall Flynn, Declan Maguire, Killian McLoughlin and Frank Smith for their efforts since the beginning of the year. Thank you also to our supporters, who gave their all to help drive the players to this success.

Division 1 League  –  We play  Aughawillan on this Saturday afternoon at 4 pm at home so come out and support the lads.

Senior Championship – One week on from the County Final victory, the celebrations are winding down and preparations are focused on the Connacht Championship. Members of the team visited Aughawillan NS with the cup to inspire the younger generation last week & DVDs of the final are available to purchase for €10 each. Corraleehan Parish Walk – Corraleehan Parish Walk continues each Thursday night at 8.30pm from Corraleehan Church. Community spirit, health, fitness, whatever your goals we will be happy to see everyone.

Dinner dance – Our dinner dance will take place on Sat 1st Dec in the Landmark hotel. We will share the night with the championship-winning St. Francis Ladies team, where they will be presented with their medals along with our Junior league winning team. We look forward to a great night with our successful teams.

U16 LADIES – The U16 girls started off their Championship competition well with a win at the weekend against Drumkeerin.  The final score was 3.11 to 5.03.  The girls put in a great effort and never gave up despite Drumkeerin making it a very competitive second half.  Well done to all the girls and management. Training continues every Tuesday and Thursday at 6pm in Páirc Naomh Mhuire.  Their next match is against Dromahair on Sunday 21st at 11am in Páirc Naomh Mhuire. Please come out to support.

UNDERAGE PRESENTATION NIGHT – We will hold our Annual Underage presentation on Saturday 17th November from 4.30pm in The Bush Hotel.  We have had a great year at underage level, so this promises to be a fantastic evening.  Everyone young and old are invited to attend.

CAO INFORMATION SESSION – There will be an information session on CAO next Sunday 21st at 4pm in the Club House for all club members doing exams.  This will be a very worthwhile session so please come along.

Smith Monumentals Intermediate Championship Final – It’s still all to play for after Sundays draw. The replay is fixed for 2pm next Sunday in Pairc Sean MacDiarmada. The occasion won’t be as busy as County Final day so it’s even more important that our supporters get there and cheer even louder this time around.

Congratulations – to Aughawillan on winning Sundays senior County Final. Commiserations to Mohill who played their part in an exciting game. Well done to Fenagh St Caillins clubman Patrick Guckian on a fine display of refereeing during the game.
Juvenile football – The club was represented by Seamus Flynn and Shane Hargaden at the half time mini games and in the flag parade in Pairc Sean on Sunday. Well done lads. On Saturday last our u9’s took part in the County Blitz in the Centre of Excellence and our u12’s played in the Clonguish GAA Shane Brennan tournament also on Saturday losing narrowly to the hosts in the final after drawing with Knockmore of Mayo and defeating Mountbellew Moylough from Galway.
Westlink Coaches u15 Championship – Fenagh St Caillins played Kiltubrid on Tuesday night and despite a spirited performance lost by 2.16 to 2.09 under the lights in Kiltubrid.
County Final Fundraiser Draw – This draw, which was scheduled to take place on Monday evening, has been postponed for a week due to the drawn encounter with Annaduff. There was a huge response from people in the local and surrounding areas as well as further afield and as far away as the US and Australia for which we are most grateful. There are still some boxes available if anyone hadn’t an opportunity to get one. Thank you sincerely to those who gave sponsorship towards the team in the lead up to Sunday’s game.
