Dunnes Bar Division 2 – We kicked off our league campaign at home against Mohill on Easter Sunday in the park. We made a slow start against Mohill’s second team and trailed 1-02 to no score after 10 minutes but a Gareth Higgins goal settled the nerves & in the 10 minutes before halftime we hit 2-06 to turn the game around the goals from Thomas Mulvey & Mark Gunning. The halftime score was 3-06 to 1-03 and we added a further 7 points after the break to secure a comfortable win. Scorers were: Nicholas Moore 0-06; Gareth Higgins 1-02; Thomas Mulvey 1-01; Mark Gunning 1-00; Bryan Beirne 0-02; Niall Sorohan 0-01; Martin Raftery 0-01. No details yet of next weekend’s fixture but best of luck to the lads & the management team.
Newtowngore Engineering U-17 League – The U-17’s were beaten by Ballinamore Sean O’Heslins in the park on Wednesday by 1-15 to 1-08. Best wishes to Emmet Moran for a speedy recovery after suffering a serious ankle injury during the match. We have 2 games remaining against St. Josephs & St. Marys so best of luck to Mickey, Fergus, Noel and the team.
Barna Recycling U-13 League – The U-13’s lost out away to Annaduff last Thursday 4-06 to 2-02 and had a good win over Fenagh in the park on Sunday evening 6-08 to 1-07. Best of luck to Cyril, Kenneth, Richard & the lads in the Shield semi-final next week.
St. Francis Ladies – The ladies are away to Mohill on Sunday morning. Best of luck to Paul, Gareth & the team.
Underage Coaching – The Saturday morning sessions are back in the park on Saturday mornings at 10am for boys U-7 to U-11 & girls U-7 to U-12.
Mothers and Others – Gaelic Football training has resumed on Wednesdays in The Mayflower at 8pm. Anyone with an interest in learning new skills or those who may have played previously are welcome to join. It’s a great opportunity to get fit, have fun and make new friends! All are welcome.
25 Card Drive – Allen Gaels 25 Card Game continues every Sunday evening in Aras Phadraig at 8:30pm. Refreshments served. All welcome.
Lotto – There was no winner of the lotto jackpot & the numbers drawn were 05-21-22-25. Volleyball – Congratulations to the 5 players from Drumshanbo Vocational School who represented Ireland in Kilkenny recently and a special word for club players Gareth Gilmartin, Fergal Moran & Emmet Moran on what was a fantastic achievement. Well done lads!
Sympathy – The Club extends deepest condolences to the Mulvey Family, Rockwell Park on the sad passing of Julia Mulvey last week. May she rest in peace.
Seniors Men Div 1 – A tough loss to Aughnasheelin last weekend in the first game of the year. There was great Drumkeerin support for the away game. Next up, away again, this time vs Gortletteragh on Saturday at 6:30. Best of luck lads.
Juniors Men Div 3 – well done to our Junior men’s team who beat St Marys last Sunday. A good battle to come back from being six points down at halftime and win by two. Well done, no fixture this week.
Senior Ladies – a tough loss at home this weekend to Glencar-Manor, hard luck girls. No fixture this upcoming weekend.
U17 – well done to the lads on another win last Wednesday against Dromahair, and well done on topping the group. Best of luck in the playoffs.

Soccer Success for Muireann – We extend congratulations to club player Muireann Devaney (St Clare’s Comprehensive School and Manor Rangers) who was part of the Ireland FAI U15 Schools Soccer team who won the Bob Docherty Cup today in Belfast with Muireann scoring the equaliser in their 2-1 victory.
Wedding Bells – Congratulations to Grainne McTernan and Ruairi Lynch who were married on St Patrick’s Day in Glencar. We wish the happy couple many years of health and happiness.

Newtowngore Engineering and Barna Recycling Underage Fixtures – Weekend fixtures will be published on our Club Facebook Page. On Saturday last our U13’s and U17s were both in action. Hard luck to the U17s who lost in an away fixture to Drumkeerin and our U13s who found Mohill too strong in the Bee Park.
Club Membership – Club membership is now over-due. Any players still to pay must do so immediately. Club supporters are invited to join. Rates for the year U10 Girls & Boys and U11 Boys (non-competitive grades) – €30 for 1st child & remaining family members at these two age groups €20, U12-U18 Girls – €40, U13-U18 Boys – €40, Adult Players – €80 and Non Playing Club Members €30.
Leitrim – Hard luck to the Leitrim hurlers who agonisingly lost out after extra timer to Lancashire in the League Final on Sunday in Ballyconnell. Well done to the Leitrim footballers on their home win over Wicklow.
Club Academy – Our Club Academy for U7s, U9s and U11’s continues on Friday nights. Venue is weather dependent and will be notified to parents and posted on our Facebook page. €2 each or €5 max per family. New players are joining every week so feel free to bring your children along to join in the fun and games.
Academy Tournament Finals – Under lights, our 7-10 year old boys and girls lit up the stage by putting on an exhibition of football on Friday 16th March at our Academy Finals. We all admired how much they have developed as individual and team players throughout this tournament. What a credit they are to their families. We salute our players. Glencar Manorhamilton’s future is certainly shining bright. Special thanks to John Conlon for allowing us the use of the wonderful facilities of St Clare’s NS which are a credit to the staff, parents and Board of Management. Our parents are to be complimented for supporting our club by allowing their children to become valuable members, by providing encouragement to all players and coaches on an ongoing basis and of course for providing refreshments for everyone for the post-match reception and presentations. We were honoured to have Stuart Gilbride and Shane Devaney in attendance on the night to present the Sarah Gilbride Memorial Cup and the Devaney Family Memorial Cup. Both families are synonymous with our club and this link is a lasting legacy. Last but not least we are so fortunate to have coaches of the calibre of James Glancy, Dominic Kelly and Kevin McManus nurturing our crop of talent week in week out at this age group. We are indebted to them – Míle Buiochas lads.

RESULTS – Our U13’s had two wins during the week against Leitrim Gaels and St. Joseph’s in the Barna Recycling Under 13 League, our reserve team never got going against Leitrim Gaels and suffered a defeat. Our junior team were defeated on Saturday evening last by Cloone on a score line of 1.12 to 1.10 in the Swan Bar ACL Division 4 League. Well done to our U17 team and management who had a very strong win over St. Joseph’s in the John McCartin Newtowngore Engineering Under 17 League.

Leitrim Football – Well done to the Leitrim lads on a great win against win against Wicklow in the national league, the team won by a score of 2:15 to 0:10. A special well done to the Ballinamore lads Dean McGovern and Matt Murphy who both started.
Leitrim Hurling – Comhghairdeas – After the Leitrim hurlers excellent performance against Cavan in the last round they earned a final place against Lancashire who they met on Sunday in Ballyconnell. Despite a tremendous performance by the Leitrim team taking the game into extra t,ime they were unfortunate to lose. Dunnes Bar ACL Division 1 – A busy weekend of football ahead with the Senior team launching their league campaign this Saturday at 1830 in Ballinamore. The opening fixture is against Leitrim Gaels and promises to be a great match and hopefully as many of you as possible can make your way to the Pairc to cheer the lads on.
Dunnes Bar ACL Division 2 – Our Division two team start their campaign on Sunday when they take on Cloone at 12:00 in Ballinamore, we would like to wish the lads the best of luck for the season ahead.

Barna Recycling U13 League – Our U13’s had a great win against Dromahair in the park on Sunday last. We hit the scoreboard first with brilliant points from Paul Honeyman and our Captain of the day Naoise McManus. Dromahair fought back level with two great score of their own. For 10mins the game was stale mate with end to end action with neither team able to take the advantage due to fine defending from both sides. Gavin Darcy finally broke the deadlock with a might long range effort which sailed over the bar. We began to pull ahead after a well worked team goal finished brilliantly by Paul Honeyman. Further scores from Louis Quinn and Michael McBrien and yet another goal this time by Naoise meant we had a comfortable lead of 2-6 to 4 goin into the second half. All of which came from hard work and pressure our midfielders Gavin and Tommy Smith put on the Dromahair kick out. In the second half, we continued our dominent spell without reward however we held on and ran out winners 2.9 to 1.7. Hard shifts were put in by every man especially in our back line, Cian McGovern and Michael

Leitrim GAA Coaching – Leitrim Coaching and game are seeking to recruit additional coaches to join our existing academy coaching teams at u14,15,16 and 17 grades. We feel this is a great opportunity for ambitious coaches to become involved and gain experience working with intercountry squads. Barna Recycling Under 13 League – The under 13 team had a win over Melvin Gaels on Sunday last. They play top of table Mohill this evening Wednesday in Leitrim at 6pm. The Reserve team plays Mohill at 7pm. The team plays St Josephs at home on Monday at 6pm.
Newtowngore Engineering Under 17 League – The Under 17 team are away to Mohill on Saturday at 12 noon. They play Fenagh at home in Leitrim on Wednesday next at 6:30pm.
Membership – Membership is due. Non-Playing Member €25, Playing Adult €60, Student/Juvenile €40 and Underage €20. There will be a registration session at the clubhouse on Monday from 4-5.30pm prior to Under 13 game. Club Gear will be available at the registration – calendar’s, bobble hats and those wanting to order half zip tops.

Leitrim Seniors – Well done to Colm and Aidan and the Leitrim seniors winning their final league game against Wicklow on Sunday last, before the trip to New York in May.

ST JOSEPH’S BOYS – Our u17’s lost out to St Mary’s last Saturday morning in Pairc Naomh Mhuire. Our next game is against Fenagh during the week. Our U13’s also played in Carrick on Saturday morning and after a brave battle we went down by one point, all still to play for in the next two games with semi-final places up for grabs. Our u11’s were in Pairc Sean on Sunday and played at halftime in the Leitrim –v- Wicklow game, a great occasion for all those young boys and girls and hopefully plenty more appearances in Pairc Sean in the years ahead. Well done to all involved with all teams.
TABLE QUIZ – Coiste na nÓg annual Table Quiz will take place in Aughavas Community Centre on Good Friday night at 9:15pm. We hope to see a good turnout with plenty of spot prizes and refreshments served on the night. Please support.
