Aughawillan GAA Club Notes 29/08/2018

Senior Championship – Well done to the Senior team who defeated local rivals Ballinamore last weekend in a high scoring game! Score: Aughawillan 3-13 Ballinamore SOH 3-9. The final group game of the Championship is on September 8th against Dromahair.

Junior Championship – Best of luck to the Junior team who play Ballinamore SOH in a play off game this Saturday Sept. 1st at 6pm in Fenagh.

Underage – Well done to St Brigid’s U13 team who narrowly defeated Kiltubrid last week. Score: St Brigid’s 2-8 Kiltubrid 2-6. They made it through to the 13 a side semi-final against Gortletteragh on Monday August 27th but were unfortunately defeated by 1 point on the day. Score: St Brigid’s 9 points Gortletteragh 1-7. Well done to all involved on the achievement of getting to the semi-final.

Comhbhrόn – Aughawillan GAA wish to express their deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Lily Burke (nee Plunkett) who recently passed away. Ar dheis Dé a raibh a hanam.

St Patrick’s Dromahair GAA Club Notes 29/08/2018

Connacht Gold Senior Championship – We were on the end of a heavy defeat vs Gortletteragh in Pairc Sean on Saturday evening. Our final group game vs Aughawillan is scheduled for Saturday 8th September. Venue/time TBC.

 

Newtowngore Engineering U17 Championship – Our lads were narrowly defeated on Sunday evening vs Mohill on a score of 2-10 to 3-09 in the Shield Final. We would like to say a big thank you to Martina and staff at the Blue Devon for sponsoring food and refreshments for players, coaches and supporters after the much. It is very much appreciated.

 

Barna Recycling U13 Championship – The boys finished the group with a good 6-03 to 2-13 win over St Joseph’s on a wet evening in The Park last Thursday.

 

Guess The Score – We are running a Guess The Score competition for the All Ireland Football Final. The cards are in circulation via players, club officials and local businesses. It is €2 per guess and we would appreciate your support with this fundraiser.

 

Club Member’s Draw – July results – €300 Crissie Meehan, €200 Fergus Meehan, €150 Dalton Power, €100 Martina Devaney. The draw also took place for All Ireland Final tickets and the two names out of the hat were Jonathan McMorrow and John Glynnmartin. Congrats to all.

 

Blitz – We are away to Shamrock Gaels for a U9 blitz this Saturday morning at 11am. Please meet at Coola at 10.45am and remember to bring gumshields.

St Patrick’s Dromahair GAA Club Notes 21/08/2018

Pyramid Bookmakers Junior B Championship – We went down on a score of 1-06 to 2-09 against Bornacoola in Rd 2 of the championship on Saturday evening in Drumshanbo. Hard luck to the lads who now bow out of the competition.
 
Newtowngore Engineering U17 Championship – We are pencilled in to play Mohill in the Shield Final on Sunday 26th August. Venue/Time TBC.
 
Barna Recycling U13 Championship – We suffered defeat away to Leitrim Gaels last week. Our final fixture in the group is at home to St Joseph’s on Thursday 23rd at 7.30pm in The Park. Good luck to the boys who will hopefully finish the competition with a win.
Connacht Gold Senior Championship – The lads take on Gortlettragh in Pairc Sean this Saturday 25th at 6.30pm. Please support.
Club Meeting – Our monthly meeting is on Friday 24th at 9pm. All members please attend.
Leaving Cert – Well done to all who received their results last week particularly to players of the club. We know you will be successful in whatever career path you choose going forward.
Hard luck – Commiserations to Dromahair ladies who were defeated in the county semi final against Glencar/Manor on Sunday in a really tough encounter after extra time.
Guess The Score – We will be running a “Guess The Score” competition for the upcoming All Ireland Football Final. Keep an eye out for cards which will be distributed via players and local businesses shortly.

Connacht Gold Senior Championship – Another tough result as we go down to Ballinamore Sean O’Heslin’s in Round 3 by 4-11 to 0-08 in a rainy Pairc Sean on Saturday evening. No fixture next weekend.
Barna Recycling U13 Championship – Both of our U13 teams are in action on Thursday 16th against Leitrim Gaels in Leitrim Village with the first game at 7pm and the second game at 8.15pm.
Congratulations – Sean Kelly and Joe Giblin were the two names who came out of the member’s draw for the All Ireland Hurling Final tickets. We hope you enjoy the match.
Leitrim GAA – We wish Terry Hyland every success in his new role as county team manager.

Connacht Gold Senior Championship – A tough day at the office for our young team who went down by 1-24 to 0-07 against defending champions Mohill. We now face Sean O’Heslin’s next Saturday. Time and venue TBC.
Pyramid Bookmakers Junior B Championship – We were well beaten by Glencar/Manor in the first round of the championship in Drumkeerin on Sunday.

St Patrick’s Dromahair GAA Club Notes 30/07/2018

Connacht Gold Senior Championship – Our campaign didn’t get off to the start we wanted as we went down to Drumreilly on a score of 2-14 to 2-09. We now face defending champions Mohill on Saturday in Drumshanbo at 5.30pm.
Website – We have launched a new website in the last few days. You can see it at http://www.stpatricksdromahair.leitrim.gaa.ie. We would love to get some old photos to share on the website of any senior/underage teams from the past so if anyone can make a contribution we would love to hear from you. St Patrick’s Dromahair GAA Club Notes 23/07/2018

Dunnes Bar Division 2 – The lads played out a tough draw away to Annaduff with a final score of 0-10 each. We believe this now means that we face a play-off with Allen Gaels to decide who joins Annaduff in getting promoted to Division 1. We thank our supporters who travelled in numbers to cheer on the lads.
Connacht Gold Senior Championship Group 1 – We start our campaign against Drumreilly next Sunday 29th July in Drumshanbo at 1.30pm. Please support.
Newtowngore Engineering U17 Championship – We are away to Glencar/Manor on Thursday at 7.30pm. The lads will be hoping for better fortune after being very unlucky in the opening two fixtures. We are also down to play away to Mohill on Monday 30th July at 7pm.
Barna Recycling U13 Championship – Our boys were defeated by a superior St Mary’s team last Thursday. No match this week as we have a bye this round.
Website – We have a new website coming soon. If anyone has any old photos of senior/underage teams from the past we would love to hear from you so that we can share these memories with everyone. Please get in contact with any club officials if you can make a contribution.
Cul Camp – We had a very successful camp last week in Dromahair where we had 180 children taking part. It is great to see the kids turning out in such big numbers and we thank all the coaches and organisers for doing such a good job.

St Patrick’s Dromahair GAA Club Notes 18/07/2018

Dunnes Bar Division 2 – We played out a draw against Allen Gaels in The Park last Wednesday with the final score 1-08 to 0-11. We also had a good 3-18 to 0-08 point win away to Drumreilly on Saturday last. This means we go into the last league game away to Annaduff this Saturday at 7pm knowing that a win will guarantee promotion. This is a massive game and we need a big support behind us so please come out to the game if you can and get behind the lads.
Barna Recycling U13 Championship – Our boys were defeated in their first championship outing vs Annaduff last Thursday. Both our U13 teams are in action vs St Mary’s in The Park this Thursday with the games taking place at 7pm and 8.15pm.
Newtowngore Engineering U17 Championship – The lads were very unfortunate in defeat against Rinn Gaels on a scoreline of 4-10 to 5-09 in The Park on Monday. We will be hoping for better luck in the next match away to Glencar/Manor on Monday 23rd July.

Dunnes Bar Division 2 – Our lads had a good win over Sean O’Heslins in Ballinamore on Sunday on a scoreline of 3-13 to 1-6. We now have a huge game at the top of the table against Allen Gaels on Wednesday at 8.30pm in The Park and we need to have a big support behind us so please come out if you can.
Swan Bar Division 4 – We are away to St Mary’s in Pairc Naomh Muire at 12pm on Sunday 15th July. Good luck lads.
 
Club Meeting – The meeting due to take place last Sunday has been rescheduled to this Sunday 15th July at 7pm in The Pavilion.
Cross Border League – Our U12 boys were narrowly defeated by 4-10 to 4-07 against St Patricks Og in Ardagh in the Shield Semi Final on Tuesday last.

St. Patrick’s Dromahair GAA Club Notes 03/07/2018

Dunnes Bar Division 2 – Our senior lads had a good win over Melvin Gaels in The Park on Sunday to stay in contention at the top of the table with a great attacking display. Next up is a trip to Ballinamore to take on Sean O’Heslins on Sunday 8th July at 11.30am and we are also down for a home game against Allen Gaels on Wednesday 11th July at 8pm. All support needed and appreciated.
Newtowngore Engineering U17 Championship – The lads have their first outing against Melvin Gaels on Monday 9th July in Kinlough. We wish them well for the campaign ahead. The U13 championship is pencilled in to start on Thursday 12th July at 7pm away to Annaduff.

Blitz – Both our U9 and U11 boys had blitzes against Calry/St Joseph’s on Saturday last. The players performed well in very hot conditions. Thank you to all parents who helped with refreshments afterwards.

Leitrim GAA: Hard luck to Brendan and team on the defeat to Monaghan. The team performed admirably and can hopefully build towards a successful league campaign with a young hungry squad.

St Patrick’s GAA Club Notes 26/06/2018

Leitrim GAA – Congratulations to the Leitrim team and management on a marvellous victory over Louth in Pairc Sean on Saturday. Best of luck on Saturday vs Monaghan. We would also like to say well done to our U9 boys who played at half time of the big match and thank you to Enda Lyons and all at Leitrim GAA for organising this. I’m sure the boys will remember the experience for years to come.
Blitz – Our U11 boys had 2 enjoyable games this past week against Glencar/Manor and St Mary’s. The boys are showing great teamwork and individual skills and are improving every week.
Congratulations – Best wishes to our club secretary Ann McGee who was recently elected president of Forsa Trade Union. We have no doubt she will be a success in her new role as we all know at the club what a dedicated worker she is.

Swan Bar Division 4 – Our lads earned a good point in Ballinamore away to Sean O’Heslins in a drawn game on a scoreline of 3-12 to 3-12.
Cross-Border League – Our U12 boys suffered defeat in their final group game against Carrick Sarsfields in The Park on Thursday last.
