Under 17 Team Management 2025

Leitrim GAA is seeking expressions of interest from interested parties and nominations from clubs for the position of Leitrim under 17 Manager for 2025.

Experience and skills

· At least 3 years experience of coaching in the GAA at youth level

· Strong experience of managing and building good team relationships

· Demonstrate knowledge and experience of best practice coaching

· A strong interest and understanding of Leitrim GAA

Essential Criteria

· Garda vetted

· Safeguarding 1

· ICGG/Foundation award GAA coaching qualification

Desirable Criteria

· Award 1/Award 2 GAA coaching qualification

 

Interested parties should apply in writing and submit a CV with details of coaching qualifications and management experience for consideration by email to coachingofficer.leitrim@gaa.ie by Friday, September 13th.

Nominations by clubs must have secured the permission of the nominee.

2018 Longford-Leitrim Under 12 Cross County League

This year sees a slight change in the naming of the groups. Instead of divisions, each competition is now called after 2 Senior County Footballers (1 from each County).

Firstly all mentors should view the link below to see what group your team is in (remember some Clubs have 2 teams in different groups so look out for that if your Club is one of those)

Clubs are advised to have all tickets returned to Coiste na nÓg Officials in advance of the draw for All Ireland Tickets which will take place at tomorrow night’s monthly meeting.

Leitrim County Minors and Under 14 Feile Teams

On behalf of Coiste na nÓg Liatroma I would like to take this opportunity to wish our County Minor Team and Management The Very Best of Luck On Saturday as they take on neighbours Sligo in The Connacht Minor Championship in Pairc Sean Mac Diarmuda at 2pm. Please encourage your club members and friends to come out and support this wonderful group of players and mentors who have put so much time, effort and enthusiasm into their preparation for this day. 

Good Luck To Our Under 14 Teams, St Marys, Ballinamore-Sean O Heslins, and  Allen Gaels who are taking part in National Feile this weekend starting on Friday and  Leitrim Gaels, Gortletteragh, Drumkeerin and Annaduff who take part in the Regional Feiles on Saturday. 

And last but not least Good Wishes to our Senior Team who head to Drogheda to take on Louth on Saturday evening.

U12 Championship

Under 12 Championship Groups and Rules.  Competition starts Monday 1st September at 7pm.

UNDER 12 RULES

Games to be played onÓgo Games rules.

All games to be played at no more than 13 a side but if one club does not have 13 players clubs are encouraged to play as many as possible.

Unlimited subs to insure all players get meaningful game time.

Pitch length Minimum 90M – Max 105M (between 20M lines).

Pitch width minimum 80M – Max 90M.

25 minutes per half.

15ft X 7ft Goals to be used (schoolboy portable goals).

Kick outs can be taken from the hand or off the ground by advancing no more than 10M from the goals.

Two-play rule applies.

45’s to be taken from the centre of the goals on the standard 45 line and can be from the hand or off the ground.

No square ball rule applies.

2014 U14 Development squad trials.

Trials for this years U14 County development squad will take place on the following dates: 

The trials will commence at 7pm on both evenings, players asked to be in attendance by 6.45pm.

Monday next June 16th in Ballinaglera GAA for the following clubs:
