It is with great regret that we record the death of one of our greatest gaels Cormac Mac Giolla R.I.P. A real GAA man Cormac loved all things associated with the GAA and held a special love for his native Donegal. As Cultural Officer of Leitrim GAA, he was the driving force behind Scór Liatroma and took special pride in the many All-Ireland Titles won by the county.

Cormac is survived by his wife Mary, son Fergal and daughters Nessa and Ailbhe; to whom all in Leitrim GAA offer our sincere sympathy. Ar dheis D? go raibh a h-anam d?lis.

Over the last few days throughout Leitrim there are reports of a big demand for tickets for the Connacht Semi-final clash between Leitrim and Galway.

It looks like the live coverage on RTE is not deterring the faithful Green and Gold followers from the encounter against the Tribesmen in Salthill. This support, as Leitrim try and create a 16th man, will be a welcome encouragement to the team in what should be a very exciting event.

One long time Leitrim supporter had a major dilemma when he had to decide onÓgoing to a Neil Diamond concert in Dublin on Saturday evening and making it to Galway on Sunday in time for the game. His solution was simple – after some research and with no expense spared he has managed to get a seat on a private flight from Baldonnell to Carraroe airport – What a supporter !

– Come on the Green and Gold !
