Hard Luck to our Under 14s who were recently defeated by Galway in the Connacht ‘A’ Championship. With minutes to go Leitrim almost had the game in their grasp, but it was not to be. This is a great learning curve for these ladies who are the first Leitrim team to reach an A final. May this be the first of many for this group of ladies. Their season is not over yet and I am sure there is more to come where Silverware is still on the cards.

Also we would like to thank our Sponsors the Ramada Hotel, Drumshanbo who offered full sponsorship to the Under 14s this year. They have been a great servant to the underage sponsorship over the years and this once again is truly appreciated.

Sponsorship

We would like to express our gratitude to Gilberts Pharmacy, Manorhamilton for sponsoring the Division One League and Clarkes Butchers, Drumkeerin for Sponsoring the Division Two League. This is greatly appreciated on behalf of the ladies County Board.

Our Senior team are back in action on Sunday Last against Wicklow where they lost by the narrowest of Margins, that being a point. The final score was 4-11 to 4-10. The girls were behind after a quick start from Wicklow but dug deep and fought back. Unfortunately for the ladies this was not good enough and they ended up on the wrong side of the score. It was great to see many young players making such an impact on the game which can only help the Leitrim Ladies in the future.
They are out in action again on Sunday against Down in Saval Co Down on Sunday 3rd April. As usual support would be appreciated.
