Fundraising Draw: The Club and County Fundraising draw will take place this Friday night 19th November in Dunnes Bar in Carrick starting at 8.30pm. All clubs are encouraged to attend and a house raffle will be held on the night with many great prizes on offer and it promises to be a very sociable night out where players can enjoy a chat about what was and might have been during the year. With 30% of the ticket sales to be returned to the clubs, there is a great incentive to clubs to maximise their ticket sales. Tickets are still available from all clubs at a cost of ââ¬10 or three for ââ¬20.  Under 13 Development Squad: The squad enjoyed a great series of games against the Longford Development Squad on Saturday morning last in Ballinamore. An interested spectator at the matches was Pat McWeeney who was recently reappointed as Under 14 County Manager for 2011 and will have been satisfied with the level of talent available to next year’s county team with a number of notable performances from players on the day. Thanks to everyone for their help on the day. Next Saturday will see the last of the Development Squad sessions for 2010 when we travel to Kilkerrin/Clonbeirne GAA club inÓgalway for games against Galway, Mayo and Roscommon. All players should note that there will be only one departure point and the bus will leave Glancys Carpark in Carrick at 8.30am (sharp) on Saturday morning and expect to be home around 5.00pm. Details of arrangements and requirements for the day have been sent to all club secretaries. County Underage Presentation: On Friday night last our Under 14 and Minor teams attended a function in the Ramada Hotel, Drumshanbo to collect their All Ireland B Shield medals. Glitz and glamour was the theme for the night where a large crowd was in attendance to enjoy a wonderful meal and occasion as M.C. Bernadette Glancy ensured the smooth running of the event. he medals were presented by county players Sharon Kerrigan and Colin Regan, both of whom gave very inspiring speeches to the girls. Other speakers included Pat McWeeney, Manager of the Under 14 team and Deirdre Ward, selector with the Minor team. Both management teams were obviously very fulsome of their praise of the girls for their contribution and success during the year and a special thanks was reserved for all of the parents for their commitment to getting players to training during the year. Vanessa Gallogly, captain of the minor team, spoke on behalf of all of the players and presentations were made by captain Ailbhe Clancy to the under 14 management of Pat McWeeney, Kieran Moran, Bernadette McLoughlin, Geraldine McWeeney and Mary Bohan and by Vanessa Gallogly to the minor management of Miceal Bohan and Deirdre Ward. Ray O’Connor, Chairman and Patricia Bohan, Development Officer spoke on behalf of the County Board. After the formal presentations, the players got an opportunity to show off their dancing skills until late into the night.  Under 16 Final: The last game of the season was played on Saturday last as Drumkeeran defeated Gortlettragh on a scoreline of 5 ââ 9 to 0-4 in the Under 16 9 a Side final.  GAA Coaching Conference: 8th annual GAA Games Development Conference will take place on Saturday 4th December in Croke Park.
