The draw has taken play for the four GAA Football provincial championship draws for 2013. The four draws took place at Croke Park on Thursday evening, and was broadcast live on RTÉ 2 television.

All-Ireland champions Donegal have been handed a very difficult draw in Ulster. They will face Tyrone in the quarter-final, and if they come through that game, either Down or Derry will await in the semi-final.

In Connacht, beaten All-Ireland finalists Mayo also face a very difficult draw. They will play rivals Galway in the quarter-final, with Roscommon awaiting the winners in the semi-final.

In Munster, heavyweights Cork and Kerry are on opposite sides of the draw, while the Leinster draw has produced a few very interesting ties. Dublin will play the winners of Westmeath and Carlow in the quarter-finals, while Meath will take on either Wicklow or Longford in the last eight. See below for full details of Connacht draw.

Gortletteragh were crowned the 2012 GWP Intermediate Football Champions this evening at a packed house in Ballinamore when they defeated St Patricks Dromahair on a scoreline of 1-9 to 0-10.

The match lived up to all the expectations with some great passages of play, fabulous scores and an electric atmosphere generated by the wonderful support base from the Gortletteragh and Dromahair clubs and the many neutral fans.

Very little separated the sides throughout the contest and it was a Darren DuignanÓgoal midway through the second half that proved to be the crucial score.  The goal gave Gortletteragh the cushion they needed to keep Dromahair at bay and try as they did Dromahair were unable to close the gap at the final whistle.

At the final whistle the Gortletteragh Captain DARREN DUIGAN made his way to the Presentation area to receive his Man of the Match Award and lift the Cup on behalf of the Gortletteragh team.

WELL DONE and CONGRATULATIONS GORTLETTERAGH

St Patricks Dromahair and Gortletteragh arrive in Ballinamore on Saturday evening in the quest for Intermediate honours and elevation to the Senior Championship in 2013.

Gortletteragh last won the Intermediate Championship in 2003 and are eager to add another title.  They suffered defeat in the final last year and this should surely be a motivating factor for them.

Dromahair on the other hand will be hoping to lift the cup for the first time in their clubs history.  They too have suffered heartache having lost an Intermediate Final in 2005.

Both clubs were unbeaten in the group stages of the championship and topped their groups.  Dromahair had a stern test in the quarter finals when they were one point winners over Eslin and they were impressive in their semi final meeting with Aughnasheelin winning on a scoreline of 2-10 to 1-7.  Gortletteragh were double scores winners over Cloone in the quarter finals winning 0-14 to 0-7 and they had to rely on an injury time free to bring their semi final meeting with Glenfarne Kiltyclogher to a replay.  They were convincing winners in the replay on a scoreline of 2-10 to 1-4.

Some observers say Gortletteragh have a slight advantage with the extra game while others suggest Dromahair have an advantage as they operate in the Division 1 league with Gortletteragh plying their trade in Division 2.  Both teams are brimming with talented players, there will be no quarter asked or given so a terrific game is on the cards.

Dromahair and Gortletteragh supporters are encouraged to be part of the thrill of the GWP Leitrim Intermediate Championship Final this Saturday in Ballinamore.  It has been a marvellous GAA season, part of what we are.

The final whistle will decide who will make their way to the Presentation area to lift the Cup –

Will it be John or Darren?

Help your club to take the final step to glory – get behind your team!
