Dermot Early Connacht Blitz
DevelopmentThe Leitrim U15 team travelled to Elverys McHale Park, Castlebar on Saturday last to participate in the Dermot Early Connacht Blitz.
The underage development tournament saw representation from all 5 counties in Connacht and the counties were represented as follows:-
Galway: 3 squads – Central Galway, Mid Galway and Gaeltacht
Roscommon: 2 squads
Sligo: 2 squads – Sligo Reds and Sligo Blacks
Mayo: 2 squads – Mayo East/South and Mayo West/North
Leitrim: 1 squad
On their march to the final Leitrim played Galway Gaeltacht and Sligo Reds and in their final they beat Mayo on a scoreline of 1-07 to 0-4.
Well done to the management team of Shane Heslin, Adrian Cullen and John Sheridan and all the players on this fine achievement. This group have been working away extremely hard over the last 18 months and their success in this tournament is just reward for all their hard work and commitment. They are building steadily and with continued hard work and collective focus they will have a bright future.

Club HurlingStephen Dorrigan Under 13 Hurling Tournament
The Stephen Dorrigan Under 13 Hurling Tournament will be played on Saturday, 15th of September in Ballinamore at 11am. All Under 13 hurlers are invited to attend this tournament even if its their first time to play hurling. The tournament focuses on total participation and bringing the element of fun into the game.
Senior Hurling Championship Fixtures – Saturday 6th October
Cluainin Iomaint V Ballinamore Hurling Club at 4pm.
Both fixtures will be played on St. Marys GAA pitch with the Final fixed for Pairc Sean MacDiarmada on Saturday 13th October.
