Connacht GAA Minor Football Championship Report
Coiste na nÓgIt was a lovely evening in Pairc Sean Mhic Diarmada, the sun was shining and it was well supported by both camps but it was not long after kick off to see that the Leitrim team were up against a very strong Galway team.

The Galway team scored a further three points before Leitrims Felim McHugh got a point from play in the 14th minute. At half time the score was 2-6 to 0-6 and the game remained openÓgoing into the second half. Leitrim started well in the second half with two early points and it gave Leitrim supporters some hope but Galways Kelleher added to his first half effort with a goal in the 45th minute and it was followed by a fourth goal four minutes later by Ian Burke.
Final score was 4-13 to 0-11, it was a strong Galway team that came to Carrick-on-Shannon and gave a powerful display and Leitrim’s challenge which was not good enough on the day kept trying to the end.
