Under 16 15 aside Championship Final Drumkerrin v Drumreilly
Coiste na nÓgDrumkerrins epic second half performance wins them the under 16 15 aside championship final in Fenagh last Saturday. In the early stages of this game it was score for score with points from Drumreillys Dylan Mimna and Mark Plunkett and Drumkerrins Jamie Langan Scóring 1 from play and 1 from a free. Drumreilly edged ahead again with a Mark Plunkett free followed by another Drumreilly free put over this time by Gary Plunkett. Minutes later came the first of the LanganÓgoal spree when Jamie hit the net after some good team play and this was quickly followed by another Drumkerrin free again put over by Langan. Drumreilly again hit back with two more points from Gary Plunkett, 1 from play and the other a free, with the sides now level it seemed all to play for and just before half time Drumkerrin edged ahead with a Langan free sending the sides in with Drumkerrin ahead by the minimum on a scoreline of 1-04 to 0-06. Shortly after the restart their lead was quickly cut with a StephenÓgilheaney point but then on 6 and a half minutes LanganÓgot his second goal and five minutes later got his third. At this stage it was all Drumkerrin with great team work all over the field, in the following five minutes Langan put over three more points, 2 from play and a free, he was just on fire and could do no wrong. Drumreilly kept battling but there was no way through the Drumkerrin defence for them as they continued to pop over the scores with another Langan point from play and a point from Sean o Grady, in the final five minutes James Gallagher scored two points and Ciaran Hicky also got his name on the scoresheet with a fine point from play. Shortly before the final whistle Drumreilly got a late consolation point courtesy of Sean Fox. Joyful scenes followed the final whistle as Drumkerrin added the championship title to the league title they won earlier in the year and to whom we extend our congratulations.

Carrigallen secure first ever U21 B Championship Title
Club FootballCarrigallen were crowned U21 B Champions when they defeated a battling Bornacoola side on a scoreline of 2-10 to 1-9 in Cloone last Saturday. Carrigallen last won the U21 A Title as Carrigallen Harps in 1995 and they will hope that this title will propel them to bigger things on the Senior circuit in the coming years. Both teams had to compete with the elements and heavy downpours during the game left underfoot conditions difficult. Despite this, the game was very enjoyable and fiercely contested throughout. Bornacoola will point to the concession of goals in either half as contributing to their downfall on the day. However, they must be complemented on their battling qualities as they reduced a 9 point defecit at one stage to 4 at the final whistle. Carrigallen were worthy winners on the day and congratulations to them on their success.

Gallogly Catering ACL Division 1 League Final
Club FootballAnnaduff and Glencar Manorhamilton meet in the Division 1 League Final this Saturday at 3pm in Ballinamore. Glencar Manor topped Division 1 on 18 points (9 wins/2 defeats) and Annaduff finished 2nd on 15 points (7 wins/3 defeats/1 draw). When the teams met in the league on Friday 8th October the game was played under lights in Cloone and Manor emerged victorious on a scoreline of 1-8 to 1-12. Manor were crowned Senior Champions back in September and Annaduff lost out to St Marys in the semi finals.
Annaduff have made steady progress in 2010 under the management of Michael Moyles and will relish the prospect of defeating the County Champions in the League decider. Manor are going for the League and Championship Double again this year having succeeded last year for the first time and Annaduff last won the League and Championship Double in their glory year of 2004.
Manor come into this game on the back of an agonising defeat in a high-intensity game in the Connacht Club Senior Championship last weekend. Annaduff were interesting observers at this game and will no doubt have looked for possible weaknesses to exploit. It will be interesting to see if Manor can recover from this defeat and Annaduff are more than capable of testing the strength of the champions.
This is the last league final to be decided for 2010 and we expect a high quality game in Ballinamore.
