Leitrim GAA Supporters Club will charter a bus to next Sunday’s Allianz League Division 4 League encounter with Waterford in Fraher Field, Dungarvan if there are sufficient numbers interested. Anybody who wishes to book a seat on the bus is advised to contact Jerome McWeeney ASAP at 0876370051. Bookings need to be confirmed by Thursday evening latest.

Leitrim GAA would like to be associated with the many messages of sympathy that have been extended to the Callaghan Family on the recent passing of Seán a native of Lisroughty, Aughawillan, Co. Leitrim.
A former local correspondent of the Leitrim Observer for the greater Aughawillan area over many years, Seán’s writings were a much-awaited weekly regaling of the happenings of his locality but were much more than that. They included commentary and witticisms of such a broad nature that these defined his column and made it one of the more widely read of that era.
Seán also served a term as PRO to his beloved Aughawillan Club and indeed found the time to serve as PRO Coiste Chontae Liatroma CLG from 1987 to 1991.
To his sisters Margo, Mary, Antoinette, Lucy, and Imelda, his brothers-in-law Patsy Smith, John O Callaghan, and James Curren, nephews, nieces, and extended family we convey our deepest sympathies at this sad time.
The late Seán was laid to rest earlier today in the adjoining cemetery to his local St Patrick’s Church, Aughawillan.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh sé.
