The positions regarding the Senior and Intermediate Quarter final pairings have been added to the respective competitions and follow the format used over the last number of years since the introduction of the groups format. Also included are the teams involved in the relegation battle.
The fixtures are currently marked as TBC until the actual dates, venues etc are furnished by the CCC in due course. It is expected that the quarterfinals will be in 2 weeks time as per the master fixture plan.

Under 14 Development squad – Workshop
CoachingJohn Morrison will conduct a workshop with our under 14 development squad on Monday next 17/08 in Cloone GAA grounds, commencing at 10am. Any club coaches free at this time are very welcome to attend. A bus will travel from Manorhamilton to Cloone with the following pick up points.

Due to both Minor and U-16 club competitions our under 15 squad have a free weekend.
Under 16 Development squad
Today (Wednesday) our under 16 squad will take part in the Fr. Manning cup tournament at the Longford Slashers GAA grounds in Longford. Our first game is against the host county Longford, commencing at 6.30pm, followed by a game against Offaly at 7.15pm. All support would be very welcome.

Junior C Championship – eligible teams and format
Club FootballCCC Notice sent to clubs regarding the Junior C competition. Clubs must express their intention to participate in the C championship and the format used in the B competition is also proposed for the C championship.
Please declare your intention to participate in the JFC C by Sunday next 15 August if possible, to facilitate the draw taking place at the next CCC Meeting. Competition is scheduled to commence on WE 28/29 Lunasa.

Proposed Format
CCC proposes to run the Round Robin stages of this Competition in 3 Groups. Assuming that all 11 teams participate, there would be two Groups of 4 and one Group of 3. The teams that finish in first place in each of the 2 Groups of 4 (Groups 1 and 2) would have a bye to the semi final and the second place team inÓgroup 1 (4 Teams) would play the first place team inÓgroup 3 (3 teams) in one quarter final and the second placed team inÓgroup 2 (4 Teams) would play the second placed team inÓgroup 3 (3 teams) in the second quarter final. Quarter Final winners will play the already qualified semi finalists from the top of Groups 1 and 2.
In the event of there being less than the 11 team participation an alternative format will be devised.

2009 Junior B Championship Draw
Club FootballFollowing a CCC meeting this evening the format and draw for the 2009 Junior B Championship was announced. There is a slight change to the format from that used last year in an effort to reduce the extended time taken to complete the competition.
Last year 2 groups consisting of 5 and 4 teams played in a league fashion, the competition started in 24th Aug and the final was on Nov 16th. This year the format is adjusted to include an extra group thus reducing the time required to play the various legs of the group. The format will consist of 2 four team groups and 1 three team group. When the group stages are over the placings of each team is crucial in determining the quarterfinal and semifinal makeup.
The top team in each of the 4 team groups goes straight into the semi final while the 2nd placings of those groups and the top 2 in the 3rd group play a quarterfinal round. Relegation is also adjusted to take account of the new format. Please note the format as outlined below.
