Fermanagh 3-10
Leitrim 2-9
The scoreline flattered Fermanagh in this NFL Division 3 clash at Pairc Sean Mhic Diarmada, Carrick-on-Shannon yesterday.
The home side were five points to one ahead by the 23rd minute. Fermanagh kept in touch with points by Matthew Keenan, Martin McGrath and Martin Little. Then in the 35th minute a Declan Maxwell goal put Leitrim 1-5 to 0-4 ahead at the break.
Within two minutes of the resumption, Leitrim had extended their lead to eight points following a pointed free by Emlyn Mulligan and a second goal also by Mulligan, following yet another impressive move by the Leitrim forwards. However a lapse in concentration one minute later allowed Fermanagh back into the game when the unmarked Mark Murphy found himself in space and crashed the ball to the Leitrim net from 30 metres.
A second Fermanagh goal by Keenan in the 50th minute put the sides level and two further Fermanagh points without reply had them in sight of victory.
Despite their handicap, Leitrim were back on level terms with four minutes remaining following points from Emlyn Mulligan and Michael Foley to set up an exciting finale.
A further exchange of scores left just one point separating the sides three minutes into extra time. Leitrim threw everything into attack and losing possession were caught out when Fermanaghs Patrick Cadden finished to the net.

Club fixtures and supporting the green and gold
Club FootballThe All County Leagues open for 2008 this weekend as the Division 5 teams dust off the boots after the winter break. There are 6 games in the division and all games are at noon on Sunday. The under 16s league in the format of 15, 13 and 9 aside are also in action at the same time across the county.
The county scene is busy with 3 of our county teams playing away from home as the Ladies travel to Lemybrien in Waterford and the hurlers head for Temp to play Fermanagh. The Minors start the county games off with a game in Enniscrone on Saturday at 4:45pm.
The county footballers have home advantage as the refixed round 1 game is scheduled for 2:30pm in Páirc Sean. This is a game in hand for Leitrim and is our first home game. It is the only Allianz National League football game in the country on Sunday. A win for Leitrim would leave 6 teams on two points and it all to play for in the remainder of the league. Down are in second place on 4 points and table toppers are Wexford with a maximum of 6 points.
Please support all our County teams in their respective competitions !

CompTickets for All Ireland Club Finals
GeneralClubs to avail of Complimentary Tickets for All Ireland Club Finals
The GAA are to offer four complimentary tickets to every GAA club in Ireland for the AIB All Ireland Club Finals at Croke Park on March 17th. The tickets are intended for use by club members in recognition of the voluntary commitment that has sustained the Association over the years. In order to obtain the tickets clubs have been asked to contact their County Secretaries who will ensure their distribution to the clubs in their respective counties.
Mr Nickey Brennan, President of the GAA said: "In recent years, we have explored ways to make the March 17th finals a more appropriate celebration of the contribution of our clubs to the Association. In this context, the stadium hosts the finals of the Seachtain na Gaeilge club quiz on St Patricks Day, club members are honoured in Croke Park for their contribution through the Presidents Awards scheme and we offer an opportunity to some of our Scór winners to perform as part of the overall entertainment on the day." He continued: "This year, we intend to take this theme a step further and are offering four complimentary tickets to every GAA club in the country."
He said the initiative was a small gesture to the broader membership in recognition of the support provided for Gaelic Games over the years and said he hoped it would be the first of many opportunities for the Association nationally to express their appreciation of volunteers in a practical manner.
The Club finals in Croke Park on St Patricks day will feature Portumna and Birr in the hurling final at 2pm and Nemo Rangers playing St Vincents of Dublin at 3.45pm in the football decider.
