Kellogg’s GAA Cúl camps
This year there are some exciting changes to the kit, with a stylish new half zip top and T-shirt replacing the original jersey, togs & socks. The backpack is still part of the new kit, while the cost of attending the camps remains the same as the last number of years. On-line registration is now available and we would encourage parents to use this method of registration if convenient as it greatly helps with assigning coaches etc to the camps. Standard application forms will be available through the schools from next week.
The following are the dates and venues for the Kellogg’s GAA Cúl camps 2015 in Leitrim.
06/07/2015 – Manorhamilton, Ck-on-Shannon, Ballinamore & Mohill
13/07/2015 – Kinlough, Drumshanbo & Annaduff
20/07/2015 – Dromahair, Aughavas & Gortletteragh
27/07/2015 – Drumkeerin, Fenagh St. Caillins & Leitrim Village
Coaching Workshop – Coaching Goalkeepers 7pm Thurs May 7th
Goalkeeping has always been an important position on any team but in the last while, a new emphasis has been put onÓgoalkeepers to be the extra link with his outfield players and not just a shot stopper. With this new emphasis onÓgoalkeeping, Leitrim GAA coaching and games have invited two of the Countries top Goalkeepers, former Longford goalkeeper Damien Sheridan and current Offaly goalkeeper Alan Mulhall to present a workshop entitled “Coaching Goalkeepers”. The workshop is open to all coaches and to any goalkeepers who wish to attend and will take place in Allen Gaels GAA Centre, Drumshanbo at 7pm on Thursday evening May 7th. We would encourage as many coaches and goalkeepers to attend.

Leitrim GAA Open night Monday 4th May 2015 5pm
Each year since 2012, the GAA has had coordinated County Open nights in advance of the Championship Season. It is essentially a family evening and what better way to round off the Bank Holiday Weekend than to spend it engaging with the footballers who have worked so hard all spring to ensure that they will be at their best facing Galway/New York in Páirc Sean Mac Diarmada on May 17th and also the County Hurlers who will commence their Lory Meagher Cup Campaign v Sligo on Saturday next in Ballinamore.
The County Minor Footballers who are busily preparing for the Connacht MFC in June will also be in attendance.
Young players attending are encouraged to wear County/Club Colours and wear footwear that will allow them to participate fully.

All- Ireland Scór Results
ScórNo joy for leitrim participants in this years All-Ireland Scór Final.
The new Question time quiz took place separately than the main event early on Saturday morning in Citywest Hotel. Leitrim were represented by previous All-ireland title holders Bornacoola, however The Brothers Pearse club from Cork emerged the All-Ireland winners. Ferbane of Offaly came in second and Cornafean of Cavan in third.
Glencar/Manorhamilton hoped to relive their 2011 win but Glenflesk of Kerry won the title for a second year. Aiden Dockery of Bornacoola gave a very moving rendition in recitation, Noel Joyce of JK Brackens club in Tipperary claimed this years title with a very witty piece of drama and was declared the All-Ireland champ.
Congratulations to all involved, fine performances were delivered on stage on Saturday, well done to all. Many thanks to all the supporters who travelled the journey to Dublin on Saturday.
